High-quality, hardened, solid-steel cutting shafts easily shred a high-volume of paper, staples, paper clips, credit cards, and CDs/DVDs. HIPAA and FACTA compliant, the ideal.TM 2604 cross-cut P-4 is federally accepted to protect information against identity theft. With a quiet but powerful 1 horsepower motor, the ideal.TM 2604 cross-cut P-4 shredder chews though 23 - 25 sheets of paper at once and up to 491 sheets of paper per minute. A 10 1/4" feed opening and 26-gallon bin make the ideal.TM 2604 perfect for department or small office needs. With safety features such as an integrated photo cell (which detects paper in the feed and automatically starts/stops shredding), an emergency off switch, and an electronically-controlled, patented, transparent safety shield in the feed opening to protect fingers and hands, this is a perfect entry-level centralized shredder for the growing office. The ideal.TM 2604 is made from sustainable materials and uses lead-free soldering. The Zero Energy Consumption sleep mode saves energy by shutting down the shredder after 30 minutes of inactivity, but will automatically wake at the touch of a button. The ideal.TM 2604 cross-cut P-4 centralized office shredder with automatic oiler prevents jams with auto reverse and power cut off. Shredding will automatically stop when the shred bin is full, or if the cabinet is open. A patented, electronically-controlled, transparent safety shield in the feed opening protects fingers and hands, and the patented Electronic Capacity Control (ECC) monitors and grades document-feeding to prevent jams.
