Great little adapter for getting into vintage lenses, especially for smaller lenses since it adds a couple inches to the length allowing for better grip on the lens for stabilization. Seems to be made of good quality materials both metal and plastic. I haven’t beat it up too much but it has held up well to banging around in my bag as it remains permanently affixed to the lens I put it on. I’m going to buy another when I get another FD lens.

EDIT: The entire time my lens was defective. The previous seller for the Canon FD 50mm I received had misaligned the red dots on the lens, meaning that alignment with the pins would be impossible. Despite my harsh review, the build quality on this thing is pretty damn good. I was just frustrated that it wasn’t working. Original Review (clearly biased 😭) Useless “notch” system. Been waiting so long for this lens. Fuming at how dumb this design is. The pic is me setting it to the lock position. Notch clearly does nothing and I’ve sat here toying with it like a damn caveman for 45 minutes, hoping I was going crazy. Never locked to anything and came off easily. Never buying from K&F again.

I got this little bad boy to mount an older Canon FD 50mm lens to the perennial workhorse Sony A6000. The first thing I love is the metal construction. It doesn't feel flimsy - also, it matches the aesthetic and feel of an older lens (which you are presumably using...because its an adapter). The second thing I love is the price. I'm not going to have to buy another one in six months or a year. This will be a part of my lens lexicon for a lengthy while. And for $20?? Come on. It gives you the capability of adding a whole range of cool affordable lenses for next to nothing. This one is a no brainer.

I received my adapter yesterday. Before adding it to my gear, I checked out the fit onto my Sony a7II camera. The fit was nice and tight. Finish on the adapter is very good. I then checked my 35-105 FD, 28 FD and my 300/4 lenses. All three lenses were easy to focus with this adapter. The images are amazing with the combination of a modern 24mp camera with a set of over 35-40 year old lenses. This really surprized me that it actually worked. There is only one change to the Sony in the menu, and that is the selection to allow the shutter to first without a lense since the adapter does not communicate with the camera body. Your Sony will actually tell you to change this setting when you attempt to shoot the first frame. Minor thing though. I there are any issues I will update the review.

Overall this is an excllent mount adapter. I use it everyday to get that vintage feel to photos out of my Sony A7III with my Canon FD lenses that I also use with both my Canon F-1 and A-1. What I like : The build quality is excellent. The finish is somewhere between matte and glossy, which makes for a great transition between the glossy FD lenses and matte magnesium body of my camera. The optical quality is what you'd expect. There are no visible reflections coming from the inside of the adapter. What I dislike : There is a ring that you need to turn in order to close the aperture otherwise the aperture is always wide open. Whilst this could be a neat way of quickly swapping between F/8 and F/1.4, it's too easy to turn and there are no locking mechanism in place to ensure it stays on one place. So it happens pretty often that the aperture changes while handling the camera without even realizing it. Even with that little oversight in product engineering, I'd say this mount adapter is well worth the money and might last longer than my cameras.

L'adaptateur de monture fonctionne. Ne nuit en rien à la qualité des photos. Le seul problème est au niveau de la fabrication. L'adaptateur une fois installé sur la caméra est légèrement lâche. Le trou qui reçoit la tige de barrage est légèrement trop grand probablement pour faciliter l'installation sur la caméra. Une fois enclanchée, la barrure tient tout de même bien en place sans risque de se défaire. Ce modèle pro est légèrement plus serré une fois enclenché que le modèle régulier. Le problème est pour le montage sur la caméra E. Côté FD, tout est parfait.
