Easy to use and does exactly what I need
This is a very handy little gadget for a great price - I wanted something that would sit in my pocket, count my steps and then give me a distance (which I go and convert to miles afterwards since I prefer that to km), and this suits my needs perfectly. It's easy to set up and the clock and step goal features are very useful. The lanyard that comes with it was a nice addition though I haven't tested it to see how it works yet, not really practical for my workplace which is where I use this the most! Very pleased and will be buying another for my Mum to use from the same seller.

Good little gadget
A good little gadget that I enjoy using, reasonably priced. The setup was tricky as there is little time to put in your info before it switches back. Also the information booklet is very small to read. But once all that is done, it works great. It does not have a belt clip, but that does not worry me. In the morning I hang it round my neck, then when dressed it goes into my pocket. With the small size of 7x3 cm it slips in easily. I have set my aim for 5000 steps a day. There is a bar to tell you how far you have got with your aim. I don't reach that every day, but I count up 7 days and then calculate the average which is hopefully 5000 steps. Its nice you can look back on 7 days info. The clock is an extra addition. This pedometer is working well for me and a great motivator to keep fit!

Mine works well; had it a month. UPDATE after 6 months.
UPDATE: Used this for 6 months now and dropped it several times without damage.Whichever pocket I keep it in, the count is very consistent -my journey to work is always 1200 steps.Haven't had to change the batteries and the clock is useful. The best thing of all is that I don't ever have to press any buttons (unless I want to see history), there isn't even an on/off switch as it simply goes to sleep when inactive.Highly recommended; useful, accurate, reliable and great value. Buy 2 and give one as a gift._____________________________________________________original review:Yes, the User Guide features text small enough to be written on an ant's borrock. But once the date/time, pace length and target daily steppage is entered (I suggest 10,000), it looks after itself.I've found the counting to be accurate when in either trouser ticket pocket or shirt pocket. A belt clip would be nice but the versatility of this particular pedometer means it works however it is carried and does not need to be held on the hip. A lanyard is supplied which has a plastic quick-release clip but I have not tried wearing it around my neck.Apart from the daily total step count, a bar goes up showing how much of your target you've achieved and the time is displayed. The readout isn't especially big or bold so not suitable for those with poor eyesight perhaps. The step count is automatically reset at midnight and it is very easy to review your week's progress simply by pressing the MEMO button to flick through your last 7 days' achievements. The MODE button allows your exertions to be displayed as STEPS, KCALS or MILES. And yes, you can change this to Metric.Al in all, very good. Much more useful and easier to use than I was expecting.Recommended. All 5 Stars.

My mistake
I decided to monitor the amount of walking I did in a day and ordered this one.. It arrived very promptly and I was pleased with its appearance. However, it has loads of functions you can access if you so desire but I only needed to know how many steps I had taken daily.. I therefore found it annoying to enter details on this tiny pedometer whose instructions I found difficult to follow. This is just my opinion of course and anyone who can input information on digital devices would wonder what all the fuss was about. I also made the mistake of ordering one which hung around my neck. The ribbon was too obvious when worn under a blouse, shirt etc. unless the collar was high. I said "under" as I didn't want it on view. I have awarded it just 3 stars in view of the foregoing.

Flimsy, not very accurate
This seemed to be ok when I first started using it though I noticed very quickly that it isn't very accurate as it does not pick up on steps that I take while I am pottering around at home- it only takes faster, longer strides into account. So I took that into account when trying to increase my steps. Then about 2 weeks into using it, it fell out of my leggings pocket (I'm a small girl so this was less than a metre fall) and it has broken, totally stopped working. It just shows what looks like a black whale and black line on the screen, I'm not sure why.So inaccurate and flimsy- not even worth the £5 I spent on it.

This is a great little device
This is a great little device. I've been using this for the past three months and just watched the pounds drop off! Once you set your device a daily 'step target' (I've set 10,000 = 5 miles approx) it keeps track of all your movements. Others will complain about the first 7 seconds e.g. not counting your steps, but really c'mon if you are only walking for less than 7 seconds at a time then your not really getting any exercise and it's not worth counting! Go over the first 7 seconds and it'll add it to your count straight away with any extra work done. My target started low at about 4000, then I built it up over a couple of weeks. I work in a school and have a dog to walk therefore I'm on my feet a lot, but now I'm obviously walking further during my day to shift the weight. Just remember you don't have to achieve your target every day but it's good if you do! It has no clip on the back but I just pop it into my trouser pocket. Batteries are still going since I bought it months ago...bonus.

Just what I wanted
I'm really happy with this. It was easy to set up, and I walked around my house counting steps until I had reached 50, then checked the pedometer and it read '50'! So I think it is accurate. Good features are the 7 step delay so you don't count movement that isn't walking, and the reset button is simple to use, but difficult to press by mistake. Oh and it shows the time too which is handy as I never wear a watch and cant always be bothered to fish in my bag for my phone. Arrived fast too (unlike others which seem to take a month to come from China) and seems to work fine either in my handbag, pocket or around my neck. I showed my mum and she wants one too! I would recommend it.

Works well. Get a tiny screwdriver to insert battery though!
Good little device. Came with set up instructions and counts steps as it is supposed to. Only downside is the fact it cannot be clipped on to belts as it only comes with a lanyard. It comes with a battery provided which is good but make sure you have a tiny phillips screwdriver to hand as you need to unscrew the battery flap in order to get the product turned on. Only had this item for 3 days but so far so good.

Damaged
We purchased 30 of these pedometers for a wellness contest at work. One came to us already damaged and 4 broke within the first week or two. We purchased 4 more and returned the defective ones. We are now 6 weeks into the contest and I have 5 more damaged ones that should be returned, but you only have 30 days to return so I'm stuck with poorly manufactured pedometers. I cannot recommend these pedometers to anyone.

Hace lo que dice.
Es sencillo pero efectivo. Mide los pasos (no es exacto pero hace un conteo subjetivo) lo cual es interesante para saber cuánto te mueves y ponerte objetivos diarios. Recomendable.
