Komodo Grow Your Own Tortoise Grass

Grew very well however my tortoise did squish the grass and unfortunately it all died very quickly and he never even seemed to want to eat it.

I purchased two of these kits but decided to test just one first in case it didn’t work as expected. I’m very happy to say the grass grew very fast and exceeded my expectations. I chose to plant the seeds in small pots that I purchased separately instead of using the container included in the kit, and they did great. Overall, I’m really pleased with the results and feel confident using the second kit now. Would definitely recommend!

Instructions are easy to follow and grass grew tall within 5 days! I could actually see visible growth every 12 hours of checking on the grass. I trim the grass every few days to add to my tortoises food and it is continuing to grow back. My tortoise seems to enjoy munching on it as well. Cheap price and worth it for a little treat. Might be too small if you have a large tortoise— if that is the case then buying grass seeds in bulk made for grazing animals is a better option. For a baby tortoise or a small tortoise this is a great food and possible enrichment item if you put it inside the enclosure.

Giving 3 stars because the soil contains perlite which is bad for tortoises. Changed out soil and 1/2 the grass grew quickly. Our sulcata has zero interest in it, she is picky though so others may have luck.

I had no trouble growing this grass, it really looks nice, and lasted three weeks. My box turtle however could care less . She sniffed it, rubbed her head in it, then totally ignored it. That is the only reason I've given it four stars .

The tortoise grass is great my baby loves the taste the value of money spent on this product is well worth it my baby loves his tortoise grass the size is exactly as described the Functionality is very easy and the Germination rate is top notch highly recommend this product for you tortoise diet

​I picked this up to add some variety to my turtle’s habitat, and it’s been a hit. The "grass" looks very natural and provides excellent cover for the tank. It’s easy to clean, which is a huge plus, and it feels durable enough to last. My turtle seems much more active and comfortable with the extra greenery to hide in. Excellent quality for the price!

The potting soil contained perlite so I replaced it with tortoise safe potting mix that I use for all my tortoise plants. Most of the seeds didn't grow. Would not recommend.

I was shocked at how fast the seeds sprouted. I'd buy these seeds again.
