Do you have to master all of it to safely use the saw?** A: No.1 follow the safety instructions. No.2 the other thing that is critical is the tensioning of the saw chain and keeping it oiled. The diagrams show how much slack is required, but you need three hands or a work bench to do it easily. Run a few drops of oil down each side of the chain when tensioned. No.3 keep an eye on the battery life indicators and recharge or replace before it drops dead. No.4 be careful not to get the chain clogged up, otherwise it is back to No.2 to clear it out.
