This pill cutter works very well and makes it easy to split tablets evenly. The blade is sharp and cuts cleanly without crushing the pill. It’s also compact and easy to store in a drawer or travel bag. A simple tool but very useful for anyone who needs to split medication.

I have small dogs who are older and are on various medications. Because of their size, I spend more time than I would like slicing pills. This pill slicer is great because it's easy to use and holds the pill in place really well. It even works well on smaller pills that I need to slice into fourths. I'm on my second one and they last a good long while. I definitely recommend for your pill slicing needs.

There may be better pill cutters out there, but this works fine, for the price. Blade could be sharper, and doesn’t always produce an even split, but that could also be an issue with the pill’s composition.

This is my second one. The first lasted about a year but then broke. Every so often a pill won't split exactly in half.

The pill will be cut! I have five sizes and this unit cuts them all. The unit is plastic with an embedded razor knife attached to one of the two piece clamshell. The unit opens by placing your fingers at the "button" end of the unit. You will feel two "bumps" AKA "bosses". Place a thumb on one boss and index finger of the same hand and push your fore finger against the other boss while pushing the thumb in the other direction. By this slight twisting motion the clamshell will open. Don't use much force as the unit may go flying. The blade should be in the UP portion of the clamshell. Directly below the blade is where the pill is positioned. Lower the blade until it contacts the pill. Then move you fingers out of the clamshell and while holding the bottom portion of the clamshell with one hand, lower the blade to cut the pill with the other. The cut is very smooth when the cutter is first used. As it ages it will become dull. Time for a new unit as the blade is not replaceable. This is my first time with this unit. It is OK but cuts only one pill at a time. I am interested in how long until I need to change the blade. It does the job though! If they provided a small plastic holder where you could place this unit into it to hold it, it would help the design a lot. It is hard to get a big hand around the unit. If it could clip into a 4" square x .0625" thick plastic base it would allow the unit to be held firmly by one hand as the other cuts the pill. There would be no "skidding across the table" when the unit gets away from you. The unit is very affordable IF the cutter does stay sharp for a long time. The design and price are correct for its performance.

Works great. You can actually line up the center line on very small pills, and it will cut right down the middle. The nicest thing is once its cut, one half falls inside the case and the other half fall to a side pocket that you can just flip over the entire case in someone's hand to hand them the pill and the other pill stays in the case. I would chop one, dump that one out and just keep the other one in the case until I needed another half. Simple, easy, cheap, works great. 5/5

Needed a new pill cutter that would keep the mess to a minimum. Some of the pills the VA sends me are gigantic and need to be cut in half, but they are a powdery mess when I do so. My old cutter didn't have a tray, so the mess went everywhere. This is easy to open, but will stay shut when I travel. Cuts the pills easily without having to push super hard. Seems well made, and I like I could choose my color option rather than just have white or black.
