To me it’s similar to roller blade or roller skate wheels but a nice smooth finish . They didn’t mark up my off-white tile at all while rolling it down. **Q: How do you put your weight on this and "roll" it?** A: I put my left hand on the front of the roller and push with my right, as I'm leaning over on the roller putting my weight on it **Q: How much does this actually weigh? What is the width of the roller?** A: Mine weighs just under 3 lbs and the width of the roller is 7". I used it to roll the new flooring in a small utility room. It worked well for me. **Q: How to clean the rollers** A: I’d recommend just soap and water, a scrubber If necessary.
