Something went wrong after the Gel Coat ! Update 3 months later changed from 4 star to 5 star!
I glued 3/4 "Coosa Bluewater composite board for my additional helm console project and the epoxy set up after 12hrs having a rock hard bond. What happened after I applied the Gel coat was disappointing because the epoxy seam reacted with the Gel coat which left a tacky surface. At this point I tried brushing some epoxy catalyst from another product hoping it kicks in the cure. If I had no such reaction I would of given it a five star. Update three weeks later. The catalyst I applied from another resin product helped cure the tacky areas which I described above. Also, the MFG rep recommended using System Three SB-112 when applying a Gel coat over the resin. I changed my opinion from 3 to 4 stars and as stated would have given 5 stars if I didn't encounter the reaction which could of been caused by either the Gel coat or T-88. Using T-88 without the Gel coat is a clear 5+. Customer service were very responsive. Update 3 months later changed from 4 star to 5 star! I have now mounted the new hydraulic helm and Morse control after mounting the new console on the aft deck. It has no signs of weakness. Very sturdy. I have also since used the same Gel coat for the wheelhouse deck and the Gel coat exhibited some areas which did not fully kick in were as this only happened previously at the new console epoxied joints. Not sure why so I upgraded to 5 star and would recommend this epoxy to a friend.

This stuff is great!
Building a home built microlight glider made of Sitka spruce... and let me say that this stuff is the boss! This epoxy has been used for decades by wooden aircraft builders and has a great reputation ... and now I know why! May take a while to get used to measuring just the right amount for the task, but this stuff is strong and does not shrink. It sands fairly easily. You can glue just about anything to anything! Stronger than the wood itself... if it’s been well verified and tested for use on wooden aircraft where your life literally depends on it, I’m sure it’ll be fine for your furniture or boat builds also...highly recommend.

Top Quality Epoxy
I've been building "Heairloom Quality" Custom Woodwork for 40+ years, I survive by "word of mouth" - I don't use any material or product that's not the Very Best, It costs a little more to do things the "Old School Way" - but the results are in the Finished Product. System Three Epoxy is the Best, the strongest and the easiest epoxy adhesive to use. Amazon is the Best Price for this First Class Product (when using exciot species, wipe the area to be glued down with acetone and allow it to dry) Thanks Again Amazon and to all who take the time to review the things we who use - so others can know)

workability
I have used this material for a number of years in both the construction and marine trades and am very satisfied with the results, though it sets up in 20-30 minutes it does achieve full hardness after 24 hours, yet once it is cured it is rock solid, there are several cautions, one is surfaces to be mated have to be free of any grease or oils, second does not work well below forty degrees, it takes paint very well especially on boat hulls etc, it will discolor over time to a brownish hue if left raw but strength does not break down in full sunlight.

This stuff is awesome!
I used this to glue a handle onto a beer stein I made (it didn’t glue on straight 😢) and also used it for ice cream scoopers and bbq spatulas. It’s solid as a rock once it’s set. I would also grab some wood clamps, this stuff takes about 12-18 hours to dry. I would definitely buy again!

Wow the strength
I bought this epoxy for joining the pieces together on a queen size bed project. The main field panels have tongues that fit into grooves in the top and bottom horizontal rails. Also, those rails have tenons that fit in mortises cut into the corner posts. I used this epoxy in all of those joints, in addition to that I used it on the sides of the panels to glue them to each other as well. I'm pretty confident that I could push this thing off of my roof and it would remain in one piece! This epoxy does NOT play around. The only negative was that after using it the epoxy would creep up and out of the nozzle, run down the bottle and all over the place. This happened even with capping it off. To avoid this you need to keep squeezing the bottle while you turn it right side up again after filling your mixing container. There's a bubble that needs to pop in order to relieve pressure, it's hard to explain but it really caused a mess throughout the project. I ended up sitting the bottles in plastic Italian ice cups to contain the mess. That's the only reason I took a star away. Other than that it's use in my project was great.

Great choice for outdoor deck repairs
Set time was almost 2 hours at 50 degrees, which worked well for my purposes. Needed about 2 days for full cure. Later used this at 65 degrees F (still about 50 degrees at night) and the times dropped by half for tack time and cure. Good adherence to metal and to wood including damp wood, as long as the surface was sufficiently roughed up for the epoxy to bond around. It was easy to get paint to adhere to this. Worked better than Bondo for paint adherence.

I’ve used system 3 epoxies for years, mostly G2. Thought I’d give this item a try, liked the 1 - 1 ratio. I was very shocked to recieve the package with a $40 “brokerage Fee” attached COD. I have ordered many other brands as well, mostly West System, and have never had this additional fee attached. I will never order System 3 epoxies again, this added 50% to the cost of the item. Buyer Beware!
