Convenient
Purchased the Accu-Chek FastClix Glucose Monitor Kit first and then got this one to have two (one for home, one for work). I really like the test strip dispenser and FastClix lancer that Accu-Check has. They both save time and make checking your levels so much more convenient. I hated fishing out the test strips out of my tester brand and having to load the lancer each time. The main differences between the Guide Me and the Guide are the color display on the Guide (nice but not a big deal), the light at the test strip (didn't think it would matter, but surprisingly I use it a lot), easier to select circumstance for the testing (before meal, after meal, fasting, etc). Does seem to upload to your phone app until you power down. Both testers are tied to my phone app and update the app whenever I test. I am sure the accuracy is the same as the Guide Me. I suspect no home tester is ever really accurate. Even the control solutions have a 30 mg/Dl range for Level 1. I did check several test over several days with both the Guide Me and the Guide and they were within a point or two of each other. Amount of blood required for the test is small. I have not used the Accu-Chek Softclix Lancing Device that came with it yet. But just because I really like the convenience of the FastClix. I purchased an extra for my work one.

Lancing device NOT included!
I messed up on my first order, thinking it was meter, strips, lancets. I misread...no meter. So I got meter yeasterday & there was no lancing device. Sold separately. I found at Walgreens for 1/2 the price of Amazon. It does say meter only but who in their right mind would think it didn't have a unit to get blood out of my finger? They need to add "lancing device not included" or "sold separately". The meter is nice. Small & compact, easy to use. It says it's compatible with phone app & they did suggest one & all I found in app store wanted $$. It's not that important.

Works well
This works really well, and with an android app for my phone and some PC software I can fairly easily send detailed glucose reports to my doctor when need arises.

You know what I think ...
Convenient and easy to use. And, as a bonus, chicks really dig this model of monitor. At least that's what my wife tells me.
