Excellent grill for family of two. It was getting to be too much trouble to heat up a grill when I am only cooking for two people. But we missed the grilled steak, chicken, burgers, hotdogs, etc. This grill has put that pleasure back into our lives. It was easy to assemble and worked awesome the very first time. I am not sure what people were saying about smoke, because I did not experience that at all. I did use in on my stovetop, so that any smoke would go up the vent, but I honestly did not see any. So far, we have loved everything I have made on this grill. Highly recommend.

Perfect size for my Airstream Atlas camper van. I have gas cooktop inside but wanted an easy outdoor cooktop and opted for this electric so I don’t have to deal with gas hookup or tanks. I intend to cook for two but it could be stretched to cook for four, but would have to cook meat first, then veggies in separate batch as not big enough for all at once. Grates are heavy duty and I suspect it will retain heat well. Looks like it will clean up easily. Grates a close enough together where food should not fall through. The drip tray is plastic which makes it lightweight for camping. I tested it and it seems to work holding a low temperature which others complained about. I then cranked up to high and it was crackling when I hit it with a few drops of water. Grill is easy to use and gives a nice sear on meat when set on sear setting. Definitely gives you those grill marks. I did find that after the first few uses, it is smoking a little more and getting slightly harder to clean. I use it near my stoves vent to help with the smoke. I do wish the lid stayed open upright instead of laying all the way back, but it does pop off easily for cleaning and the viewing window is nice while cooking. I appreciate the drip tray drawer being so big and easy to clean. The removable plate just lifts straight out and gets set straight back in easily. I think it would be a easier to clean with a small grill grate type brush. Size wise it fits about 4 burgers at a time or 2 chicken breasts. Nice for dinner for two.

GREAT PRODUCT OVERALL We have used this grill about once 6 - 7 times since we bought it and I have nothing bad to say.cooks evenly(mostly thin slice korean bbq, pork and beef belly, onions, mushroom, squid rings) -COOKS WELL- we sort of grill a "headstart batch" a pound or two and when we have a plate of cooked meat then we all around the dinner table to take turns grilling, then re-heat the first batch if it has turned cold( family of 4) -FAST AND EVEN HEATING- i turn it on, with cover, and set to max temp and wait about 10 to 15 mins to reach a good temperature ,I make sure heat is trapped before I lay all the meat.thin slice pork and beef belly takes abt 3 to 5 mins to cook both sides, covered.when "ready" button is lit , it is really ready on the temp you set it to. -CLEANING-easy to clean, really easy.I use paper towel for areas that cant be washed in the sink, follow it with dinfecting wipes then finish it up with damp paper towel to remove chemical residue of wipes I use. It is best to wash the grill and drip pan when it is warm enough to touch.I once was lazy and put off the cleanig, when oil and lard is stuck and has dried on the parts, you have to put in extra muscle to clean it.takes longer too.never making that mistake again. -SMOKE-very negligible, we live in an apartment and the smoke it lets out is almost unnoticeable, just dont burn your meat. -STORAGE- when all is dry and clean I wrap it with a cling wrap, so it stays clean and ready for next use..i store it under the sink sideways.takes small space vs keeping the box and unboxing everytime. -ELECTRIC CABLE -we use an extension cord jist because the apartment outlet is too far from our dining table.The electric cord is about less than 3 feet but it is not a deal breaker if you look at the pros. For the price, it is a great product!

I have never made great steaks on the grill... NEVER! When I made on the outdoor grill, they either are burnt and Crispy or they were boring, no grill marks, no WOW look at that steak factor at all. Cooking them on the griddle on my stove made them the best but; the smoke was ridiculous and the NESS? OMG! This grill is awesome!! I brag to everyone about it, I've had for a couple months now and have used it a lot. I've grilled steaks, burgers, chicken, shrimp and salmon and more, I cannot say enough great things about this. It's the perfect size for us (there are 2). Theckean up is so insanely simple I can't believe it! Literally, I finish grilling I run a sink if dishwater, lift the lid drop it in, quick wash, rinse, pull off the grate do the same, remove drip tray, dump and wash and BOOM! Sparkly clean, lovely little grill ready for the next protein. Oh, regarding the smoke... WOW! There is very little if any, depending on how many steaks I'm cooking. But, somehow this little sucker traps the majority of the smoke inside. Oh and I upgraded to the window version so glad I did. It makes great grill marks on your food, just like a restaurant presentation. The SWAR setting really is the best feature for me, I'm grilling like s pro thanks to this grill! I tell everyone to get one, my husband's always laughing at me because I can't stop raving about this thing. HAMILTON BEACH products are always my favorites this one does not disappoint. They neverI LOVE THIS GRILL!!!!

I love this Electric Indoor Searing Grill. Already grilled two New York strip steaks and they turned out great. Not knocking it, but not an all over sear like a cast iron skillet provides. I’m going to try a press to see if that will assist in searing more of the steaks surface. Easy to remove grill plate and drip pan for easy cleaning. Would buy again.

I've owned this little kitchen helper about a year and a half now. After much trial and error on my side, i finally figured out how to cook a ribeye on it and decided it was time to let others know that this small grill is a work horse. I don't use it daily, i'd say i bring it out about 1-2 x per month. The sear feature i believe gets up to 450 degrees - this is needed in some cases. There was one incident in which i thought it broke, but it was truly user error. I put hamburgers on there before the grill got hot and they got stuck. I decided not to give up and tried again and it worked as new. Allow the grill to get to temperature before you put your food on it and you'll be fine. As far as the smoke, for the price and what it is, i find this to be acceptable. It does smoke once it gets hot but once the food goes on there and you close the lid, it's almost comparable to a smokeless grill. If you live in a condo or apartment and can't cook outside, this will be a great addition to your kitchen. As far as cleaning, I don't put the grill plate with the heating element connectors in the dishwasher even though it says here you can. I put the tray and the lid in the dishwasher, but soak the grill plate upside down in hot soapy water in the sink for about 15 minutes without submerging the rods, and any food stuck to it comes right off with a soft sponge. I want for my things to last, i think protecting the heating element connectors on the grill this way may buy me some extra time with this gadget. It's the perfect size to cook 4-5 burgers or two good size steaks, maybe 3 -4 chicken breasts depending on size. I love this little grill. I'm not a fan of air fryers or extra appliances but this was a great purchase. Glad i got it.

Bought this for the hubby last Christmas. He has been using it for a year now. He just used it last night again and reminded me how much he still loves this gift. I figured it was the perfect time to report back now. Its been easy to clean and stow away, it'snot heavy at all. The meats always come out juicy and flavorful. He hasn't touched the out door grill in a year. I told him I actually prefer him cooking the meats on this than with the outdoor grill anyways. Lol I love the smell of the meat cooking in the house, It is not smoky at all and now we don't have to go out in the cold or the heat or care about the propane tank. We will even be teaching our teen son how to cook on it this year 😋

Grill Steak fantastic

I’m very happy with my Hamilton Beach indoor grill! It heats up quickly and cooks food evenly, giving nice grill marks just like an outdoor BBQ. What I really like is how easy it is to use and clean. The removable plates and drip tray make cleanup super simple. It also doesn’t produce much smoke, which is perfect for indoor cooking. Overall, this is a great buy for anyone who wants a convenient and reliable indoor grill. Highly recommend!

Works Perfectly!! Simple set-up. Have used several times with different meats, no smoke each time and all is good! The clean-up so easy; remove the drip pan, remove the grill, wipe out cover and seals. The grill washes quickly and easily, I really appreciate the ease of HB Indoor Grill. I truly recommend this grill for anyone in an apartment inviroment. This is not free product for review. Honest!!

Looks really usefull, i havent tested it out properly, im still planning on what im gonna cook with it, its light weight and is very "practical", dont be afraid of its plastic parts, its well built, obviously you have to take care of it, if you do it, i think it will last as much or even more than other more expensive indoor grills. I ran a test without food and everything looks working as intended. Its a really nice kitchen tool to have around.
