Sturdy and looks good
Even though these tables are made of composite and not real wood I feel they are exceptionally sturdy. From my experience there are different grades of composite types of furniture where some are better quality then others. I feel this is of good quality and will probably last me along time. It looks nice and is heavy. I use these in my bedroom for my audio speakers. One on each side of the room. Most of you would use it for other things. They would look great in a foyer, living room or bedroom for decorative pedestals or telephone table. The only down side , and there is always a down side is the directions aren't very good. They are just a diagram as opposed to step by step written instructions. The first table took me an hour to set up. The second one about 40 minutes since I knew how to do it. All in all I am satisfied with the tables. P.S always make sure you never over tighten the screws when you put together furniture.

TERRIFIC TABLE, FRUSTRATING ASSEMBLY
Great table, I mean really great, and a really reasonable price given the solid quality. The only thing is that I thought putting it together was ridiculously complicated. They could have very easily had some of the pieces already together and have it fit into the same box. It really was an exercise in frustration management, but also so worth it for the quality of the table. It's really solid, looks great and functions really well. The only other small caveat is that there's no stopper for the little drawer at the moment so if you pull it out too far it comes out, but once I learned that I just was careful not to pull it out too far.

Great little table for the price!
I purchased two of these to use as nightstands next to my bed, I wanted something a bit higher than what is normally sold and I have to say I'm VERY pleased. Sorry if the images load sideways, they are oriented correct in my device. Anyway, they are a dark espresso color, almost black, just what I was hoping for, and the perfect height for me. You can see in the pics they are to the top of my mattress. Yes, they come in lots of parts, and parts are not marked, but if you take your time they are not difficult to assemble. I'd estimate it took me maybe 45 minutes at most to assemble both. They seem pretty sturdy and I love how they don;t take up much floor space. The drawer is large enough for a few remotes, a book, lotion or other smaller things you might want to keep bedside. The shelf is large enough to display something or keep a box of tissues handy. Overall, I'd say these are a good value and I am a happy customer!

Real product matches online description
I'm usually not one to write an online product review but am doing so because some of the other reviews of this product complicated my buying decision. I therefore hope my review of my experience with this product helps your buying decision. What you see is what you get. The table is dark brown, not blackish, seems sturdy enough, and looks fine for what it is (a reasonably priced piece of functional modern furniture). Unless you pick it up and throw it, it is not going to fall apart on its own. The packaging seemed very solid...nothing was broken or missing, and there was adequate styrofoam etc to prevent dings, scrapes etc from shipping.Because I bought two, I had the pleasure of assembling twice. From the first build I learned not to over tighten the screws in step 1 of the instructions because doing so caused the drawer to be harder (but not impossible) to close. The second build resulted in a drawer that opens and closes with much greater ease, and I sufficiently tightened the screws in step 1 after installing the drawer to ensure the table was sturdy enough.I strongly recommend having a hex screwdriver in addition to a regular Phillips head screwdriver. The reason why is I found the included hex wrench to be a real turd to work with, which is used to attach the legs to the table top. Imagine what sort of quality disposable tool you would get with an $80 piece of furniture...yep, exactly. You won't need any other tools for assembly. If you are good with assembling things, give yourself 30 minutes. If not, make it an hour. The instructions aren't bad but I've seen better. At the end of the day, I am pleased with how these turned out. They are being used as small side tables on either side of a bed in a space-constrained apartment bedroom, so if you are contemplating a non-phone stand use for this table it can serve alternate purposes. The stand's height is closely aligned with that of a mattress on top of a box spring and bed frame (how most beds are set up), so I imagine Winsome thought that people might use it for this purpose.

Excellent Small (but tall) Stand; Need I Say More?
I'm a little frustrated that I couldn't get a similar stand with the shelf just under the top, but I can't fault this product for that. This one was the only stand available at this LxW measurement, and it works perfectly for what I bought it for. It's a bit taller than I expected, but I also do not find that to be a problem. It's quite nice really. Even if the height was an issue, I could always just cut the legs to make it shorter. Packaging appeared to be sufficient to keep this intact all the way to it's destination, but honestly, with solid wood, even if it was dropped or kicked, the structure would probably not be affected. Ours arrived undamaged, so I cannot say for certain what would happen if you had a rough carrier.Solid wood, easy assembly, good instructions, sturdy after assembly. Well designed, with strong hardware.

Perfect end table for tight bedrooms
I am very pleased with this stand. It is much better quality than anything I have ever gotten from a certain swedish furniture store who shall not be named. Every single piece (except the bottom of the drawer) is solid, high quality wood. For our needs at least, as small nightstands in a bedroom with very limited clearance, these are perfect. They have a really nice weght to them, so i am not at all afraid of rolling over and having my arm tip them over as I would always do with our previous small, high tables that we had next to the bed. We bought 1 so far to test it out, and we are so pleased we are going to buy 2 more!
