Always a good brand
I got this Dremel on sale for like $20 so I'm even happier with it. But I've owned this model of Dremel before, and it's a solid little tool. It doesn't have the battery life or the power or torque of the bigger ones. With the removable chargeable batteries, but it's nice for little tiny tasks.. Very easy to handle, you can almost grip it like a pencil. My six-year-old daughter loves it, too.

Great tool
Great tool. I use it in professional setting and it works fantastic.

underpowered, but works as advertised.
if you need a dremel that works without a cord for very small jobs this is good, otherwise I get out my extension cord and use a real dremel tool :D

Replacement of 30 year old Drumal
I've used it every chance I get. It's a good replacement for my 30 year old one. Couldn't get batteries for the old one anymore. The new works great.

Rechargeable, dremel, All-purpose.
You can not live without this in hobby work. My only complaint would be a very hard switch. Requires too much force to turn on.

Something built to last and be serviceable by a large company in 2025, WOW !
In these days I find it important to note that it is built to be serviced ! The battery inside in a samsung 20r. Kuddos for using a Samsung battery and not a generic cheapos cell ! The battery is installed with tabs and crimps on the wire making it ultra easy to replace. Literally you can buy a cell with tabs preinstalled on it and just replace it with only a T9 screwdriver. The label even have perforations to not tear it apart when opened. The whole board is coated in a transparent epoxy to prevent dust and vibration to short or weaken the solders. The main bearing is a standard 695 pressfit on the shaft and all other electrical connections are using locking tabcrimp for servicability. My only complain on the design is the overload seems to be working based on the voltage sag of the battery and not a proper current overload, so if I was to replace the battery for a Molicel 28A or a samsung 25r, where both have more amps capacity and amps, I'm worried about burning up the board. ( Dremel, please confirm or infirm this on the design ). I have this one for now 3 years and use it A LOT. It lack a little bit in power, but I just go slower if I have to cut something with a cutting disc. Thats the only moment where I feel like having more power. After 3 years I didn't even have to replace the bearing, but oiled it as it was making grinding noise. That's when I noticed how well built it is without the traps of anti-repairability you find everywhere now. Kuddos Dremel ! Seeing something built to last even if it's a "lite" version makes me trust you as a company. Just a little last thing for improvement : USB C with a proper PD Trigger in a way where we could use it on the USB Power if the battery is drained. Right now it's either charge or use, but the use is always using the battery so if it's drained you're stuck.

Safe and easy to use
Great tool for a young, beginner wood sculpter!

Very nice for light for things that do not need torque
It is likely much more powerful than you think and 25,000rpm is definitely enough. It works nicely with e.g. sanding, polishing, engraving with small burrs and cutting thin things. I bought a 8220 after this, as this one stalled very easily when making cutouts on thicker wood or even small stones. Even though I have now also it's bigger sibling, I still prefer it for a lot of light tasks, as it is small and light (and I can save the battery of the other one).

Great little tool.
Great versatility being cordless. I also like the fact that that itโs variable speed. My wife uses it to shave my dogs nails and I use it for multiple shop functions including sharpening my chain saw chains. Worth every penny

I didn't know I needed this tool
I just finished installing flooring in my basement, and bought this Dremel tool just in case. Well it was very useful for sanding little parts here and there. I'm sure there are other uses but I'm not there yet. Comes with a small assortment of accessories, will probably need to buy more separately. Charges pretty quickly (micro USB) cable and charging brick included. Easy to use, light, love it!
