Good replacement for my FourWinns
The base fit well into the existing hole, but since it is 3 screws vs 4 I had to drill one new hole. Exisitng holes are covered by the base. I like that the cover for the base rotates: 90degrees to insert the pole, and locks the pole in place at 180degrees. 4 stars because it did not come with matching countersunk stainless/marine screws as I would expect for such a product.

For the boat
My boat had a different fixture for the lights and I wanted to be able to use my go pro stick and charger without holding it so I bought this and swapped out the original light housing. Easy to install and works great for my needs.

Bought to replace exact same 4 year old sockets
These are nice sockets, but the caps get loose fairly quickly. The caps will open on their own from vibration, running rough water, and when towing. When new, they stay secure. Replaced my 4 years olds couple months ago thinking my originals might have been a bad batch. Both are loose again. I rivet mine in, so it’s a pain. The tension screw for the cap isn’t accessible unless you remove the socket. Even with locktite, it still gets loose and rotates. I just keep waterproof tape in my boat to secure both caps when not in use now.
