Wunderbrow Eye Gel is a โwonder-productโ!
As I was applying makeup this morning and specifically my eyebrows, I realized that although I have purchased Wunderbrow Eyebrow Gel several times, I have never written a review about this beauty product. I donโt remember what I used prior to Wunderbrow and it was obviously easy to forget! Being 79 yo, my eyebrows have all but disappeared at this point but itโs amazing what can be done using Wunderbrow. I can literally recreate my natural brows freehand since the application wand is so easy to use. That coupled with the creamy gel allows me to quickly apply brows that look natural and beautiful. But hereโs the bonusโฆit is TRULY waterproof and will not fade, smudge or dissolve unless the user purposely uses simple soap and water to do so. I can wash my face and take a shower and my eyebrows remain intact unless I use a bit of soap to remove them. This product really does work โwundersโ on sketchy brows and makes them look full and totally natural.

It really works!!!
I was skeptical about this purchase. I've tried several brow products and you know some are better than others. I was extremely surprised and pleased with the results, however. When applying, keep only a light coat of the liquid in the stem and apply using gentle feathering strokes to your natural brow area. Don't over apply to one area or it'll look clumpy and unnatural. It's much easier to build up than to fix a mistake if you add too much at once. Do one brow at a time and before it drys, use the clean mascara wand to brush that comes with it and shape your brow, blending with little upward strokes. It looks great!!!! I am fortunate to have full brows but have a couple areas that need to be filled in. This did the trick. My mom has very thin brows and needs more to fill them in. I tried it on her and she looked awesome--very natural even though she needed more. So, it seems to be good for both kinds of brows--those that just need a little to fill in spots and for those that have sparse brows and need more coverage. For the latter, I'd recommend getting a plastic brow shaper to ensure it looks natural unless you have a steady hand and know how to create a perfectly shaped brow. I don't. The consistency is light like liquid eye liner and the color looked off when I first received it. I have medium brown brows and the liquid looked too light for me. It blended perfectly, though, and was the perfect color. It has great staying power, too. No smudges as long as it's applied correctly and didn't wear off during the day like some/most brow fillers I've tried. It's also not waxy like Maybelines Brow stick. The most important thing is to apply lightly, one brow at a time and blend with the wand while it's still wet. Add more after it dries to get the coverage you want but don't overdo it on the 1st coverage. Clean the wand after use. Definitely recommend! I think it's worth the extra cost because it works and it'll last a while. I Plan on buying another for my mom in fact.

Requires patience, but result is worth it
I finally did it. I bought Wunderbrow. Let me tell you, it has been a journey with my eyebrows and eyebrow products so I figured...itโs time to see what all the hoopla is about. This may be a long review because I have a lot to say about this product and the things that Iโve learned while using, so please bear with me. First off, I purchased in the Brunette shade even though I have a multi-tonal blonde balayage because I do know from reviews that Wunderbrow runs lighter than you think, and I can say that I completely agree. Brunette is pretty much the perfect color for me as it is more taupe when dry. Secondly, if you purchase Wunderbrow, I HIGHLY suggest watching a number of YouTube tutorials because it IS a product that can be difficult to work with and requires patience and definitely has a learning curve. If you think this is going to be a โthrow it on and itโs perfectโ product, unfortunately youโve got another thing cominโ. This aside, I DO love the outcome that Wunderbrow provides. Is it perfect? No. Is it worth it? For me, it is. Okay, so Wunderbrow is an extremely wet and liquid-y product. It has taken me several applications to get down the best application method because when itโs very wet and liquid-like, it does not adhere to the skin which poses a problem for outlining the brow as the first step. Naturally, you want to use an angled brow brush to apply this and not the spoolie that it comes with (which is basically a disposable spoolie youโd see at Ulta or something), so if you donโt have an angled brush I recommend purchasing one beforehand or along with this product. The applicator in the tube is a brush (much like a lip gloss brush) which you do NOT want to use directly on your brows. Doing so will apply way too much product that youโll end up struggling to work through your brow before it dries (because once it starts drying, it and your brows are stuck where they are) and you run the risk of looking like a cartoon character. The best way that I have found to use Wunderbrow is by using a surface, much like a paint palette, to work off of. Personally, I use the top of a cream blush compact because itโs a flat, untextured surface. I donโt recommend your hand because itโs messy and will stain. So to start I get some product onto my working surface by using the brush applicator and just getting a nice little dollop on. After brushing out my brows with a spoolie, I go in with an angled brush (I use the Anastasia dual ended brush for all of this) pick up product and dab off excess on the same surface, much like you would when painting. I start by applying directly to the brow hairs instead of trying to define my brow (that comes later) with small hairlike strokes and using a spoolie to brush out the hair again before going back in with more product from my surface. I do this about 3-4 times to build up the color and by this point the product on my working surface has started to dry down which is when you want to go in and start defining the shape of the brow and using your spoolie as needed. Letting it dry down a bit allows it to become thicker in consistency and is when Wunderbrow does indeed apply and stick to the skin. This is definitely a product where you need to go in with a concealer to clean everything up using a different brush to make your brows more defined and have cleaner edges. This product does wear like a champion and through a night of dancing or a day of hiking it will not budge, fade, or smear. Wunderbrow does not come off with water, but it does come off with makeup remover or cleanser, which I use every single night if I have been wearing any makeup. So, the whole โlasts a few daysโ thing is really lost for me. If you use any makeup remover whatsoever, this stuff will come right off and will not last days. My final thoughts on Wunderbrow is that it does not take less time to use whatsoever, it is not a product I use daily but for instances where I need to make sure my brows are locked in for the day/night, this is now my go-to for those purposes. When I use Wunderbrow I really love the results and how perfect it can make my brows look. Is it the most natural looking? Not at all, which is why I typically prefer it if Iโm going out to a show or a club. I do find that it wears better and keeps the brow hairs in place better than Anastasiaโs Dipbrow and brow gel. Wunderbrow is definitely a solid product and I definitely will be using it when I need to/have the time to. Itโs not a perfect product and like I said, requires some patience and technique in perfecting application, but overall I find it to be one of the best brow products I have ever purchased for creating a bold, sharp brow look that lasts through sweat, humidity and withstands my bangs until I take it off. I will upload photos soon. Thanks for reading!

AWESOME PRODUCT ... and i didn't believe the hype!!!
Wow. I am in complete and total shock. What an awesome product. I have been bombarded by Wonderbrow ads on my facebook page and ignored the product thinking their in your face advertising technique meant they were having a hard time selling their product. This went on for about a year. Then recently I was getting increasingly annoyed with how my trusty brow gel pencil wasn't holding up until then end of the day. While it was a breeze to apply, by the end of the day half of it would have rubbed off, resulting in pretty awful looking brows. So I began looking into Wunderbrow and studying the application videos posted on YouTube by recent buyers. So for a $22 investment risk I was at least going to give it a try. I bought the color closest to my own eyebrows - Brunette (I have wheat blonde highlighted copper-brown hair with thin medium brown brows... the taupe-y brown color that you see through the tube actually dries slightly darker so for me it's a perfect match. I was worried I should have gone Brown Black but no; Brown Black would be for women with very dark hair or women of color). I also bought -AND THIS IS CRUCIAL OR YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THE RESULT AT ALL- I also bought a fairly stiff, short bristled angled eyebrow/eyeliner brush. This is so incredibly important. You cannot possible apply this product to your brows with the fat, soft applicator. It would be like painting with acrylic paint. So I received both products in the same Amazon shipment. Having studied various application videos, it seemed best to dab my angled brush into the saturated Wunderbrow applicator brush and load up, but not heavily. The product dries fairly quickly and in my case I used a light hand. First I brushed my eyebows upwards with the included spoolie. Then I traced beneath my brow line to create the lower edge of my intended brow; the angle of my angle brush produced a fine, strong line, just what you want. I taped towards the outer edge of my brow. Then i did the same for the top edge. Then i filled in with short quick strokes. I brushed again with the spoolie to even everything out. I loaded up again and did the other brow. Then I loaded up sparingly and returned to the first brow I had worked on and created the illusion of fine vertical hairs in the inner edge of my brow (the part closer to my nose/inner eye). Did the same to other brow. Using the spoolie helps create these "hairs". By now both brows were dry. But what I did is because I like my brows to be ever so slightly darker in color, I took my usual eyebrow gel pencil and very lightly went over the areas of each brow where I wanted additional definition. I did not bother with a light highlighting pencil as I've seen done in many of these videos; I have freckles and this is not the look I need or want. I just want nice eyebrows that stay put all day! WELL LET ME TELL YOU. I had a hair appointment today and my eyebrows survived perfectly through shampoo and conditioner, a scalp massage, cutting my bangs and a blowout. They have not faded or peeled or disintegrated at all. These babies are stating put for a few days, I can tell. So rather than having to work with my eyebrows every single day, I expect now to have to do it a few times every week. Wunderbrow is a wonderful product and lives up to the hype. Its very easy to apply and I am not a makeup pro by any means. And that bottle of product should last me an entire year! I highly recommend it. But DO NOT forget the angled brush!!!!

Long lasting but color changes and took too long to apply
I've been faithful to another product for years but lately it was taking too long and the results were inconsistent. So I finally tried wunderbrow and I'm thrilled. It requires some practice to learn proper application but then the results are amazing. It looks absolutely natural, even in natural sunlight, and it can last for days but touch ups are needed. I've slept, exercised daily, and washed (around brows), and got 3 days of wear with touch ups. My only complaint is that the Auburn color is not red at all. I think it looks kinda muddy. It appears more red in photos than in person as well. As others said, the brush in the tube is useless. I dip a clean spoolie in the tube (it came with one) and just brush it on/in my brows. It even created tail where my hair is thinnest and it's the most difficult to fill in. I also use a very thin angled brush to draw a few hairs and use concealer to clean up the edges for a defined finish. You don't need the special cleanser, it can be removed with an oil based cleanser like baby oil. Update: I'm still using the wunderbrow and happy, however, the auburn shade is really too muddy looking which really bugged me after a while, it also oxidizes during the day and gets darker which I hate. So I started mixing a drop or two of the wunderbrow with Make Up Forever Chromatic Mix, the water based formula in red #4 (available on Sephora online). Then I use an angled brow brush to apply and a spoolie to blend it out. The color is a vibrant red once mixed and much better match for my very bright, dyed, red hair. Also, I don't get to use an entire tube bc it gets darker and dries out. I also decided I don't like to wear it for days, it needs touched up and is too thick to build over. Second update: I think I'm giving up on Wunderbrow. Over rhe last year the application was taking too long and it was not looking as good as it first did. It was too dark and too thick, and maybe my tastes have changed bc I really want a softer and natural looking brow. Wunderbrow ended up looking heavy and like plastic on hair, plus I was really tired of having to mix the color to make it at all red. So I tried some new products and found a really surprising new favorite. Etude House Tint My Brow 4 Tip Marker. I wrote a review and posted pics on Amazon where I bought it if anyone is interested. There is also a youtube video that is hownI found it. The Etude marker is more natural looking and takes only 5 or 10 min to apply, so it's way faster. Downside, it's not as waterproof as Wunderbrow (nothing is) but I guess I have to trade off something to get the easier to use product and more natural look. I do still like Wunderbrow to camouflage my hairline a bit when my roots need done so the tubes I have left will not go to waste.

Never thought it would work, but I LOVE IT!
I was quite leery about buying this stuff. I read almost every review, and the more negative ones talked about how difficult it was to apply, and how hard to get off when they smeared it. I am so glad I took my chances! I have extremely thinned out eyebrows. I am 65 years old, and I have no idea why, but over the last five years or so my eyebrow hair seems to be disappearing. I am a natural medium blonde, with gray intersperesed throughout. I have tried all kinds of brow pencils, and if I buy a medium brown color it just looks too dark, and the blonde colors look too light. And trying to get them to look natural was a real problem. After reading the reviews, I was extremely nervous about applyling this stuff. I assembled Q-tips, makeup remover oil, and a small brow brush, and didn't need any of it. First off, you DO have to wipe the excess off the little brush before using it. Then, use a magnifying mirror and don't just swipe this over your brows as you would with a pencil. Just barely touch the eyebrow hairs. Remember, you're "painting" the hairs, and NOT supposed to be drawing a line on your skin! Even if you only have a few hairs, they will pick up the color and your brows will look great. After I put it on a very few hairs I re-dipped the brush, wiped the excess off on the container, and then did a few more hairs. Yes, it took me about 6 minutes to get this done, but when it was finished I was extremely happy with the results! I was afraid the color would be wrong for me, but the blonde color was perfect. Just dark enough to make my lighter eyebrows noticeable, but not so dark that it looked unnatural with my hair color. I put this stuff on two mornings ago. (Be sure to have good light)! I have taken two showers since then. While washing my face in the shower I took care NOT to rub my eyebrows as I was afraid it would come off. However, when I washed my hair there was ample water running down my face but the brows stayed on! What a joy to NOT have to spend time doing that in the morning! I'm sure it will fade in a few days, but so far I'm absolutely thrilled. I must have twenty different brow pencils of all sorts and brands in my makeup drawer which are not needed now. The only drawback with Wunderbrow is that it's expensive, but what the heck! If it stays on for three, four, or five days, it should last a while. I'm also not sure how the tube of it will hold up. I don't know whether the stuff will dry out in the tube, because while you are applying the product to your brows, the tube is uncovered, and it does take a while to apply. So, that remains to be seen, but for right now I'm very happy! If you decide to try this, just start out with the brush wiped off on the container, with only a very little of the "paint" on it, and use a magnifying glass so you can make sure you're getting the stuff on the hairs and not painting your skin for a natural look, and do a few dabs at a time. Don't swipe it across your whole eyebrow! I started at the inner brow, put a little on, loaded and wiped off the brush, moved down the brow, loaded and wiped off the brush again, and then finished the rest of the brow.

Works great on faded tattooed eyebrows!
*Updated 3/5/16* Due to a stupid mistake I made back in the 90s, I got my eyebrows tattooed and over the years they have faded to practically nothing. Since the tattoos are higher than my natural eyebrows, I can't just grow them out because it would look like I have 2 sets of eyebrows. So I have to shave them off several times a week. Then when I put foundation on, they completely disappear and I look like an alien. So I have to draw them on daily with a colored pencil and I end up looking like a Chola. Not that there's anything wrong with that... However I am kind of an old school goth, so I just tell people that it's a "Goth thing". But since I am quite a bit older now, it is getting much harder to pull off. So I was browsing around the internet trying to find a natural looking eyebrow product and came across Wunderbrow and read the rave reviews. I have burgundy/violet hair and I ordered the brunette shade. Based on the reviews I expected this to be a little darker but it is actually a medium ashy kind of brown. It would be a very flattering shade for blondes or medium toned brunettes, but for me I think it was just a little too light. I then purchased the black/brown and it is perfect for me. The color is fairly sheer, so you will need a few coats if you want to make it darker. I created an updated video to show you some tips and tricks which has made the application process much easier for me. Several people were mentioning that they were having a hard time with the brush, but I found it to be very easy to use right out of the bottle. The brush is somewhat stiff but also a little flexible, kind of like a nail polish brush. It is flat on one side that you can use to paint on the heaviest part of your brow and then you can turn it sideways to use the narrow side on your arch and ends. But after using the product for several weeks, I discovered that if you cut the brush at an angle, it allows for more precise application. I just rest my elbow on the faucet which provides a steadier hand. Since I have no eyebrow hairs, I have no use for the mascara wand that comes with it, but you can use it to blend the product into your natural brows. If you mess up, you can use a wet q-tip to remove the goof, but you will have to do it quickly while the product is still wet. Once the product is dry, you can rub your fingers over brows and it will not come off. I would always be paranoid when using pencil because at the slightest touch, I would have a brown streak across my face and half of my eyebrow would go missing. How embarrassing is that?! You can even go to sleep with this product on your face and still wake up with eyebrows. I love that! But as soon as I used facial cleanser, a majority of the product washed off. So while it is probably waterproof in the rain and while swimming, as soon as you apply any type of cleanser and scrubbing action, the majority of it will probably come off. I also think it will not last as long if you apply it over moisturizer. Your skin should be clean and dry for best results. I also notice that when the product is dry, the finish is fairly matte and almost gives the appearance of hairs. So to recap, here are my tips for getting the best use out of the product for those of us with no eyebrows. Your results may vary! 1. Avoid any oil based moisturizer or foundation. The product works best on clean dry skin. 2. Cut the brush at an angle for a more precise application. 3. Rest your elbow on the faucet or other flat surface for a steadier hand. 4. Do the heaviest part of your brow first, followed by the tail, then meet at the arch. 5. Apply with light strokes. The product goes on a little sheer, so you can add more coats if necessary to achieve a darker look. 6. Keep some wet q-tips handy in case you goof but do it fast! Only works while the product is still wet. 7. Set the product with a light dusting of pressed or loose powder. In summary, I am really loving Wunderbrow. I definitely think it's more natural looking than pencil or anything else I have tried in the past. What do you think?

Love it, but one complaint.
EDIT: April 2017 - I've been using Wunderbrow for about 6 months now, and I'm on my 3'rd tube. I have dark brown almost black hair. I ordered and used a full tube of the "Black/Brown," but it's more of a light brown.. That itself made me decide to remove a star. Because the black/brown was too light, I decided to order the Jet Black. It was more of a grey than a black. I love this product, and I'll continue to use it and swear by it, but the dark shades need to be darker, and they really need to come out with a legitimate blonde color. I have redhead friends that want to try this, but there's no shade to match red or very light blonde hair. I apply one coat, let it dry, and apply a second coat to get the right color. Not a big deal to me, but others really hate it. Overall, after 6 months and 3 tubes, I love this stuff. It's the best brow product I've ever used. But I really think Wunderbrow needs to perfect and broaden their color selection, since the colors are NOT true to the photos. I did have a great result mixing the black and black/brown colors, but it's more of a hassle than its worth. My suggestions: -Order a shade darker than you think you need. -Order a tube of the color you think you need, and order a tube one shade darker to mix together. -Use an angled brush to apply; the applicator does NOT apply product cleanly or sharp -If the color is a little too light, apply one coat, let dry, and apply a second coat to darken. My advice to Wunderbrow: -Perfect the shades so they are true to the photos. The colors are not true to the name or photos, and most of us are ordering what appears to be the perfect shade based on the photos, and receive something 4 shades lighter than our hair. -Broaden your color selection to include natural blondes and redheads. -Add an angled brush to the opposite end of the brow brush included in the box, or re-design the applicator. -Fix the ashiness in the black shade, darken the black/brown shade, and lighten the blonde shades. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'll be the first to admit that I was a little skeptical based on some of the reviews here, but I decided to give it a shot. When I got it, the first thing I noticed was how nice the packaging was. No damage, no dents, nothing. The tube itself is very nice and solid, and the formula of the product itself is perfect. I'm the type of person that is constantly touching my face, particularly my brow area. My cream brow wax was always either constantly smudging, too dark, too harsh, and frankly, just very unnatural. Something about this brow product is super easy to apply (although I'd recommend using an angled brush and not the one provided), and it stays all day and then some. It goes on smooth, it looks natural, and it's extremely easy to add that gorgeous, natural looking gradient that some women seem to be able to achieve effortlessly. I haven't noticed harsh lines with this, either. And since it's more of a liquid, it's hard to make it look too dark unless you buy a color that doesn't match your brows or hair. Overall, I love this. I'll never go back to pencils or cream. The only drawback is that the wand that comes with it picks up way too much product and makes it hard to apply. If you're going to try this, grab an angled brush. If you use the wand, you probably will dislike this product.

Does what it says. Great product!
So nice not having to fill in my eyebrows everyday, because they're super patchy. WunderBrow lasts about 2 days for me before needing touch ups (depends what type of face wash you use). I chose Black-Brown (which goes on like a dark brown), and my eyebrows are black, but I think this gives more of a natural look for dark brows. If you are looking for more of a bold look, I would try jet-black. The only thing that isn't the best in my opinion is that the formula is realllly thick, so be careful when putting on your brow hairs or it will stick and feel cakey/very hard. Make sure to always brush them out with a spoolie eyebrow brush after applying the product (one is provided in the package), so they don't look or feel cakey. The benefit of the formula though is that it acts like a gel so it tames/smooths down unruly hairs. Overall, I'm really happy with this product as it saves me a lot of time in my makeup routine and I don't have to worry about my eyebrows wiping off throughout the day.

and I'm really glad that I did
So, I don't usually do reviews but it took me so long to actually commit to spending ยฃ20 on an eyebrow product, so I thought I'd share what I think about Wunderbrow. I always do my eyebrows - I feel very weird if I don't have them on, but I get quite oily skin so all other eyebrow pencils/powders/gels that I have tried would smudge throughout the day and just generally drove me mad. So, I tried Wunderbrow, and I'm really glad that I did. At first, I could see that it did what I wanted it to do - the colour was correct (I ordered brunette) & it didn't budge throughout the day, but I hadn't bought the separate brush and it just looked messy and ugly when applied with the brush inside the bottle. If you're looking to do defined brows, then you HAVE to get a brush separately. I ordered a really cheap one from Amazon (brush one side, spoolie the other side) and it made the product much easier to use. You really need to put the product on in tiny amounts and build it up- even if you want dark, powerful brows, build it up slowly with multiple layers, otherwise your brows will just look awful and will be rock hard and just a bit gross. The actual liquid is quite gloopy, but when you apply with a separate brush this isn't an issue as you use such a small amount. Even doing it this way took me a good 10 practices to get the technique right (I'm useless with make up, but you just have to get used to using it). After you apply it, remove all excess product from the brush with kitchen roll or something, otherwise the brush will be rock hard the next time you go to use it. (To clean the brush properly I rub it in some oil based make up remover then wash it with brush cleaner) I apply this product before any other make up is applied (clean your brows first to remove any natural oils) which works great and sits really well on the skin, and I then apply foundation (being careful around my eyebrows) and it looks great. I've tried applying it after I have applied my foundation, and although I had tried my best to avoid my eyebrows when applying my foundation, it just didn't work well. The oil from my foundation really altered the way in which the wunderbrow worked. Now, I have to make this clear as it will not be the same with everybody, I have really oily skin, and I suffer from acne so I generally wear a lot of foundation every day. When I wear a full face of foundation, the wunderbrow does not always last for more than one day. It stays put, but begins to look patchy and not great. However, I've tried wearing it with just concealer and really minimal foundation (which minimises the oil on my skin) and if I don't remove the wunderbrow at night, I could easily get away with a second day's wear. I cleanse my skin every morning and evening, so I always remove my eyebrows at night. I use the Nivea oil based eye make up remover and it takes it off really easily. I've tried using Micellar water as I'd read in some other reviews, and it gradually took the product off but I had to rub a lot more and I would quite like to have eyebrows left at the end of the day... doing it this way actually made one of my eyebrows a bit patchy, so you HAVE to remove it really gently with oil! I bought my first bottle of Wunderbrow 3 months ago, and have just ordered my second. For me, this didn't last long (in comparison to the gel I used to use), however I did play around with it quite a bit at the beginning to get the technique right, so I don't think it's too bad. For me, it's worth it. There's nothing worse than noticing your smudged eyebrows half way through the day, and with Wunderbrow this will never happen. If you're considering trying it, I would go for it. It might not be great for everyone, but stick with it and try it out a few times before giving up on it. I won't be going back to cheaper products (and trust me, I buy a lot of cheap make up...). I have attached before & after photos. Please note, the 'after' photo was after a full day's wear, and I had spent the day wearing a full face of foundation. I had removed my foundation just before this photo was taken. Please ignore how red my skin is in the before photo, my skin goes so red when I remove my make up!
