It takes a few minutes to adjust it the first time, but from then on it only takes about five minutes to install/remove. It takes even less time to secure the bikes in the bed of the truck, and once they’re in place they don’t move. It was a perfect fit too, for my older F150. I couldn’t be happier. I live in a place with weather extremes, so I don’t leave it on all the time- but it’s so easy to take on and off that it really doesn’t matter. It has been on the truck for 3 months now, as I use it daily. The fit is very good, no issues. The adjustable section in the middle allows you to still use the 2 back-up camera's. I am very happy with this purchase. **Q: Will it block the back-up camera on an F-250? I have a 2020 model and the camera is mounted by the release handle.** A: I drive a GMC Sierra 2500 with a camera also on the release handle, and the opening seems big enough to not block the camera's view. Part of the reason I purchased this tailgate bike pad was because of the oversized opening, and it seems to not block the camera at all on my truck. **Q: Does this work well on an F-150 with the integrated tailgate step?** A: Works on a F250 with the integrated tailgate step. You can't access the step while it is on, but it fits. My tailgate is 64" wide.
