This is really the perfect way to go when trying to extend your color till your next appointment. The brush option was helpful. I did have difficulty with parting my hair and getting all of the roots. Overall this was a great improvement and accomplished my reason for purchasing the product. It is the perfect color match as well.

This product was actually recommended for my root touchup from my stylist so I wouldn’t have to go but once or twice a year to get my hair done which saves a ton of money. The color is true to what it says on the box.

I find this product to be the easiest & quickest root touch up. My roots Ned touch up every 2-2.5 weeks. I’m Not spending $ for this frequency. This color process lasts long enough for my next touch up. I mix 2 colors ( 1:1) to get the right shade so I get 2 applications per month . Love this!

bought this thinking “no way this is going to cover my roots that fast” and wow, I was wrong. This stuff is basically a magic wand in a bottle. My grays disappeared so quickly it felt illegal. Great product. Very easy to touch up roots. Doesn’t smell nearly as bad as the whole head dye in this same brand. I left it on 10 minutes like the box said. There are a few stray grays that it did not cover but really that makes it look more age appropriate anyway. I am 63. There is absolutely no line detectable between my #5 Salon Hair color and this #5 root touch up. I had about one inch of roots. As long as the rest of my hair does not fade I can continue to only touch up the roots and not dye my whole head ever again. There is plenty in the bottle if I wanted to grab some fine sections and use it to “lowlight” the rest of my hair.

I loved L’Oréal Excellence 4G Golden brown for years to cover my long gray hair. They discontinued that color for no particular reason that I could see. It was popular and commonly out of stock. I’m glad to have found Excellence 5N, natural brown. However, my hair is very healthy and grows fast. By six weeks, my gray roots are over an inch long, so I use Root Rescue spray and several brands of powder. Sticky, stiff, messy, and stains my hats and hoods! So I was thrilled to find Magic Root. Watched the videos, washed my hair and used no conditioner or other product. Two days later, I applied Magic Root medium brown to all the gray areas on the top of my head. I could see that the color was nice and dark. I left it on about 25 minutes. Rinsed it out in the shower with lots of L’Oréal conditioner. I looked in the mirror and could see that my white gray roots were now light gray roots. So sad. Magic Root just does not work. I hope spraying Root Rescue over it won’t make my hair fall out.

Ordered the twin pack of medium brown. When it was time to use the second box I realized after applying it that it was dark brown. So I ordered a twin pack and they were 2 different colors. Love the product- but not my dark brown hair
