## Description

Product description THE ELECTRIC CHAIR, LETHAL INJECTION, FIRING SQUAD. THOSE AWAIT RYAN HARRISON AFTER HE'S WRONGFULLY ACCUSED AND SENTENCED TODEATH BUFFET STYLE. SIGHT GAGS, WORD PLAYS, PARODIES. THOSE AWAIT COMEDY FANS WHEN HARRISON ESCAPES AND GOES ON THE LAM FUGITIVE-STYLE IN THIS LOOPY LAUGHATHON. desertcart.com With the success of There's Something About Mary, the brothers Farrelly would seem to have inherited the dumb-comedy crown from the various talents who made Airplane! and its many descendants: Top Secret!, The Naked Gun, Hot Shots!. For the most part, that's true, but as Wrongfully Accused proves, there's a bit of life in the old shtick. Pat Proft, a screenwriter on The Naked Gun series and Hot Shots!, makes his directorial debut with this farce, which stars--surprise, surprise--Leslie Nielsen in a parody of the feature version of The Fugitive. More than that: Proft piles on joking references to a host of other dramas, including Casablanca, Mission: Impossible, and Braveheart. While the persistence of these inter-movie gags can wear a viewer down a bit, the fact is some of the silly stuff really does hit its target. If the progeny of Airplane! were to end with this movie, it would be a worthy way to say farewell to a once-good idea. The DVD includes trailers, a game, Dolby, audiovisual production notes, cast interviews, biographies and filmographies, English and French soundtracks, and English, French, and Spanish subtitles. With Kelly LeBrock, Richard Crenna, Sandra Bernhard, and Michael York. --Tom Keogh

Review: A very touching movie. - Hilarious! Vintage Leslie Nielsen.
Review: Nielsen Was A True Original - Hard to believe but I remember where I was when I first saw "Wrongfully Accused". I was on a return flight from the U.K. after atteding my brother's wedding. I was feeling a little blue probably a combination of the English weather and being single at that time. The first offering was a Morecombe and Wise Christmas special from 1977 which was pretty funny. This flick followed and it was the cure for the ills that troubled me. A lot of people label this as a guilty pleasure. For sure there is a certain level of lowbrow humor on hand but there's a lot of sophistication, too. A good example would be a clever parody of "The Usual Suspects" that takes place in a bait and tackle shop. Believe it or not there are also send-ups to "Braveheart" and "Titanic"(!). None of this would work without the comic deadpan mastery of star Leslie Nielsen. If Nielsen didn't believe in this material the whole enterprise would fall flat. "Wrongfully Accused" stands with Nielsen's "Naked Gun" parodies as some of his funniest work on screen.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Have to be a fan
*by R***Z on April 11, 2011*

In a nutshell, the whole movie revolves around Ryan Harrison (Leslie Nielson) as he tries to prove his innocence (usually involving parodies from other movies) after being framed for murder. I personally LOVE this movie. I think it's hilarious from start to finish. The only catch is that you have to be a big fan of Leslie Nielson's type of humor. If you don't like Leslie Nielson, you most definitely won't like this film. I like the fact that the humor in this movie is "clean and simple". It can make you laugh (crack up in my case) without the use of vulgar language.
