Davidson's Tea Bulk, Organic Peppermint Tea.... is simply amazing. One of my close friends recently gave me a peppermint plant. The primary reason was so I could make my own fresh peppermint tea here at home. Unfortunately, winter hit soon after, and I was forced to bring the plant inside where it flourished a deal less than it had previously. Fresh Peppermint Tea requires a number of the leaves; I started feeling quite bad about using them when the plant was obviously not faring well to begin with... so, I started researching possible alternatives, and I stumbled across Davidson's Tea. First off, if you purchase this tea, here are a few suggestions: (1) Don't expect it to taste like fresh peppermint tea. It isn't. This is a dried version of the herb, which means it will taste more like tea. Fresh peppermint tea is a far cry from the typical 'tea.' (2) Make sure to have a tea strainer with a very fine mesh filter. If not, you can also make the tea and pour it through a simple coffee filter into another pot. The leaves are very fine and will, otherwise, find themselves in your cup. (3) Do NOT be alarmed by the smell. At first I thought something was wrong since the tea smelled extraordinarily like freshly mowed grass as soon as I poured the boiling water over the leaves. It is quite strong, but it mellows out. The tea still tastes amazing. (4) Whatever you do, do NOT overstep this herbal tea. Remember that strong mowed grass smell I mentioned earlier? Yeah, your pot of tea will start tasting like that if you let it steep for too long. I suggest the good ol' 5-8 minutes. The tea will come out tasting slightly earthy with a very refreshing strength of peppermint. (5) Make sure that your teapot has a lid while steeping. While I am not 100% sure why this is necessary, I have noticed that the peppermint taste is much more strong than the times when I forget to put the lid on. From what little research I can find it has something to do with 'volatile oils' being evaporated by the boiling water. Overall, this product is exactly what you should expect out of quality herbal tea. Find the brewing time that fits your tastes (heavens knows there's enough dried leaves to do a little experimenting) and share a cup with friends and family. P.S. - Peppermint, obviously, has a number of well-researched health benefits, including assisting in digestion and easing stomach aches. If you take off the lid of your teapot and inhale, the fumes from the peppermint tea will help clear sinuses and relieve congestion due to the menthol.

I did NOT realize how big this bag is! I will have tea for 2 years. This brand has never failed me for quality and flavor.

Omg what a Deal! This Organic Davidson’s Peppermint Leaf bags is amazing. I was not expecting such a large bag. The flavor is incredible. We make a cup each every morning. A must have.

I absolutely love this peppermint tea. It has the perfect amount of peppermint flavor in my normal coffee mug drink, it is a huge bag for a great price. The quality of the tea leaves is great. I fill up my loose tea with around 3 teaspoons.

This is a review of Davidson's Tea Bulk, Organic Peppermint Leaves, 16-Ounce Bag. The brewed product lacked the distinctive peppermint aroma and flavor. Not suitable for drinking. My conclusion is the product has lost potency due to age or storage conditions. The product is definitely cut and sifted peppermint leaf. Mint aroma from bagged product was minimal and dominated by other aromas. Bag was sealed and no obvious leaks. I went back to Amazon Customer Reviews. All Davidson tea reviews are collected together, so I searched for reviews with the word "peppermint". I found 236 reviews. Of these, over 100 reviews gave the product only one or two stars. Many of these negative reviews echoed my own reaction. Most of the reviews are from the past three years. My impression is that 2020 has been especially bad. A number of three-star reviews also complained about poor flavor. AMAZON: The Davidson customer reviews should be separated by product. It appears that Davidson's enjoys a high overall customer satisfaction rating but they definitely have a quality control problem with this particular product. Most purchasers will not search 15,000 Davidson reviews before buying, but will rely on the overall company rating. Please help the company and the customers address this problem!

I have purchased this item about 10 times, and every bag was perfec quality.

I got the peppermint tea. Its not as flavorful as it probably should be. I have other peppermint tea that im comparing this to, and this one is inferior. A love a strong peppermint flavor that is enough to singe my throat lol. Also got yerba mate. That one is 5 stars. Delish

I enjoy loose leaf tea in the evenings after a long, stressful day at work and pictured this product as being a much smaller bag so I was quite pleased with how large this bag is! The tea is flavorful, fresh, a nice color and is absolutely worth the money paid! is next to a 40 oz water jug for reference of size.

I don't usually like peppermint tea but I had a great experience with " Davidson's green tea with lemon ginseng" so I gave this a try. It's leaves are not over powering but still have a full flavour when steeped. The price was more than reasonable for the loose leaves. I found the Davidson brand to be more refreshing than stimulating and okay to drink before bed. Peppermint helps settle an unruly stomach and this tea does as well. This is the second Davidson's tea product I have tried and definitely recommend both this Peppermint and the other Green tea with lemon ginseng.

I've had to give up caffeine so decided to try herbal teas. The peppermint tea is delicious; I make a big pot in the morning and have a hot cup and pour the rest into a jar and put in fridge for iced tea during the day. I believe the 16 oz is probably enough for a little g time but I will definitely keep this in stock.

I bought my first bag of Davidson's Organic Peppermint a while back and it was pretty good. I make a cup almost every day, and once I finished it off it was time to order another bag. This latest order? What a disappointment! There is no peppermint aroma upon opening the new bag (seriously WTF???) and the tea itself tastes awful. The leaves seem like peppermint (with a disturbing amount of stem) but I can't be sure with no aroma or flavour. Maybe they were left to dry for several years and lost all their flavour? I brewed up a single test cup and it was awful. I'm returning it immediately, and after reading a few other reviews commenting on bird poop in their bags I don't think I could ever trust this company again.

I've been buying this tea for a couple of years now. It tastes great and it's excellent value for the money. I've told several people about it who've also starting buying it. I've bought several of Davidson't teas and I've been happy with all of them.

Decent, earthy taste. Don't expect the taste of say David's tea Peppermint Amour, it's decidedly more subtle and earthy. There are a lot of fines that get through any filter or bag which makes the last sips unpleasant. Great value with some trade-off
