MaxxHaul 50173 Hitch Receiver 2" x 2" Adapter for 4 inch Square RV Bumpers

I looked at a lot of the reviews before I purchased and was a little skeptical on ordering due I had read that their was a welded seam on the inside of the receiver and hitch pin holes were miss aligned. I wanted this to mount on the back of my RV trailer to carry our e-bikes. I installed it on my trailer with absolutely no issues. No welded seam on the inside and hitch pins were perfectly aligned. Powder coating was decent and welds look like they are sturdy. Bike rack fit just right and is very solid with no sloop thanks to the threaded hitch pin that is used with my bike rack. Not sure if they have corrected past issues or what but I can say this is a great value for what I got. I would definitely purchase again.

Hitch looked great and felt like it was a good build quality. Installed this onto my Rockwood Roo rear bumper to be able to use my hitch mount bike carrier. Worked great and fit right in place, carried the bikes very well.

MaxHaul ! Great equipment I've been using Max Haul products for a long time they're just as good as the best as far as I am concerned. I got this for my RV because the cargo carrier the kind that comes with the mount for a four to four and a half inch square bumper on your camper would not fit I did not have enough clearance you need 1.2 in for clearance and I was lucky to have . 25 in for clearance. I ordered these separate One is the hitch that mounts with bolts to the bumper it is a perfect fit you have to bend your panels very slightly in order to get the bolts down over the top and it's not a permanent bend it's just ever so slight. Then you can tighten them up and you are set to go and install your cargo carrier easy peasy and this is going to be for a lot of campers out there that don't have the room for the bumper mount cargo carrier because of clearance between the bumper and the shell of the camper please see my photos as you will see what I am talking about I would recommend putting either some paper towel or perhaps a rag in between the plate and bolts as you put it between the bumper and the shell if you don't have much clearance, enjoy! Also I found a 500 lb capacity car truck cargo carrier for $59 as of today 9/10/25 and I am going to Mount my generator and fuel with the exhaust facing away from the camper and I'm going to chain it and I will ratchet strap it into place for stability and we can pull the cord and have electricity wherever we stop also I use a small suitcase generator by champion it's 2,200 w max 1800 running watts and a standard tote will fit over the generator with no problems at all keeping the elements out during travel I hope this helps.

Heavy and sturdy. This piece is obviously well made and high quality. Bolted right to the bumper with the included hardware. My flag holder fit it perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to use it up to the weight rating. Great looking piece actually compliments the rear bumper. Lines up nice and square. For the price, this is probably the best value I've found. I dinged it a star because the seller should package it better. Came in a beat up box and the finish is scuffed up. No biggie, I will just touch it up, but if you're picky about such things, be advised.

This looks like a quality product; unfortunately, I had to return since I needed a 2 5/16" receiver.

As described. Works great on camper bumper to attach bicycle rack.

This 2" receiver in well made and is a perfect fit for a 4" RV bumper and really easy to install. Both ends are reinforced with an extra layer of steel. The threaded hole that holds the securing bolt seems to be slightly tapered and prevents the bolt from loosening which is a very good thing.

Easy to mount, includes all hardware and fits a standard four inch rv bumper without any issues. Just make sure you have enough gap between the trailer body and the bumper for the receiver adapter plate and u bolts!
