Reliable non-wifi baby camera
Great little camera + monitor setup. We didn't feel comfortable using wifi and just wanted the ease/convenience of a direct link. This delivers. Connection is instantaneous and it's easy to travel with. Battery life on the monitor is pretty good but could be better. We charge it every night but also leave the screen on a lot during the day. Sometimes it's out of battery ~8pm. No big deal though. If you really cared to solve it you could easily tape a cheap external USB battery to the back.

Only lasted 6 months
While the product works well, it just doesn't last. We've got three cameras that all work fine, but BOTH monitors we've purchased have completely stopped working. The first one completely lost its picture, while this replacement became dangerously hot and is no longer usable. No picture. It lasted less than 6 months. Unless you want to continually spend $100 on new monitors every year, I'd urge you to try a different product.

Reliable, Clear, and Built for Peace of Mind
The Eufy baby monitor has been one of the best purchases we’ve made as new parents. The video quality is sharp during the day and surprisingly clear at night. The screen is a good size and shows enough detail to keep an eye on our baby without constantly squinting or adjusting. Setup was quick and painless — no Wi-Fi needed, which means no app logins, lag, or privacy concerns. The connection is strong throughout the house and even works out in the backyard. We’ve had zero signal dropouts. The pan and tilt features are smooth and quiet, and I love being able to scan the whole room. The audio is crisp, and the two-way talk feature works perfectly when I want to comfort my baby without going into the room. Battery life on the parent unit is solid, and the temperature sensor and sound alerts are accurate and helpful. It’s also nice that it supports multiple cameras if you have more than one child or room to monitor. Overall, this monitor delivers everything we need: security, clarity, and ease of use. If you want a reliable, no-fuss monitor that does its job exceptionally well, Eufy is the way to go. Highly recommended.

Much better screen
On my second kid and still rocking the same monitor. I feel like a camera and a screen are old technology that was figured out decades ago but apparently not. Our friends' monitors all look grainy and small by comparison. I went with Wirecutter when I got this and it did not disappoint. One star off because the battery goes to heck once every couple years, you have to dissect it, unplug and reconnect the battery to fix it. Look for the issue on reddit and you'll see the hack.

No WiFi, great clarity
I recommend this camera to all new moms! They have incredible range with no interruptions. I’ve walked all over our acre property, and up and down the street and I’ve still been able to check on my sleeping babies. The picture quality is great during the day and at night (we don’t use night lights). The thermometer on the camera is a little wonky sometimes, but we have the camera on the ceiling so I’m sure that’s why it’s off sometimes. Super easy to setup and use.

Disappointing Monitor
This is the 2nd monitor/camera system we purchased because we liked how the first worked for our kiddo. However, this monitor has been terrible. It won’t hold a charge, the sound goes in and out, the kickstand broke off easily, and now it won’t stay on even when it’s plugged in (it has to constantly be plugged in to work-or at least that was the case before it just stopped working). We are really disappointed after having a good experience with the first one. For us, this was a waste of money.

Shoddy manufacturing, poor quality.
This was the second monitor we had to buy for this system after the first one, less than two years old, would no longer work. The charging port broke and there was no way to charge it. Aside from that, we had quality issues from the start - the monitor and cameras would suddenly disconnect and make the most awful sound, waking us up - desperate sleep we as new parents needed. Eufy support offered only to have up "upgrade" the software. We should have bailed then and returned it, but it seemed like too much work to pack it back up and get it back to a UPS store. I wish I had - what a waste of so much money. We're returning the second monitor because it randomly turns off, has an echo when you use the microphone, and also only sometimes will hold a charge. We trusted Wirecutter and bought this monitor when they recommended it a couple years ago - no wonder it's no longer anywhere on their recommend list - total garbage.

WiFi free is the way to go!
I purchased this baby monitor at the recommendation of some friends. We had a monitor that ran off WiFi, and although the phone app was cool, the signal sucked, it was glitchy, and there was a delay in real-time and what the video was showing. So we switched to this monitor and have not looked back. Features I love: -strong signal -great sound quality -the alarm when baby is crying and you can set the sound threshold -night vision -long battery life -microphone to talk to baby from the handheld -ability to zoom and move the camera from the handheld -wall mount Only con is it came out of the box needing to be updated. I haven’t done that yet and I’m not entirely sure how to do that. I get a message every so often saying the firmware needs to be updated, but I have just been dismissing the message and I don’t seem to have issues so far. Other than that, I would highly recommend this monitor.
