I’m retired and decided to climb back aboard. The weight of the alto was a consideration at my age and I bought both an alto and soprano at the same time and got a great deal. The neck strap was still an issue that I was looking to address when I ran across this item. Without hesitation, I bought one. Everything great you read is true. The wearer needs to know that your horn hangs differently. On the soprano, it relieves pressure on your right thumb, but it also dangles and try making a high D. It wants to swing. There’s a learning curve and it’s well worth the journey. No more neck strain and my shoulders hardly notice.
