It comes with a great little booklet on how to care for it, i reccomend seasoning it straight away. I unfortunately left it out overnight on first use and it got some rust, but the advice to rectify it helped and it was perfect back to use straight away. I use this for evening fire pit get togethers and cook everything in it: soups, broths, casseroles, baked potatoes, and the lid turns into almost a flat pan when flipped! so frying is possible.
