Useful cap loader when it works. The problem is the spring loaded retainer can be a bit weak and not hold the percussion cap in place as you try to place the cap on the nipple. I end up searching for lost percussion caps on the ground.

Works as it should. Hold #11 caps

The capper itself is well made but the spring is not bent enough to securely hold a cap. I had to take the spring off (the screws are small and easy to lose!) and bend it so it would grasp the cap firmly. Once I did this the capper works very well. I used both CCI #11 and RWS 1075 and both were loose and needing the spring tightened.

This works so well trying to get the cap on with your hands is a pain and this makes it so easy and nice, really saves your finger tips.

Solid design, no issues to report

Probably excellent for a rifle or shotgun given the price. But not a good fit for Colt style reproduction revolvers. I’m still happy with the seller, delivery time and product. But be prepared to do some grinding and filing for it to work well. If you own any uberti or Pietta revolvers then you are probably used to dealing with mods since the Italians rarely do a good job on fit and/or finish. In 30 minutes I had the capper working properly. And it’s now holding 18 #11 caps vs. 15. To the seller: look at a capper from the 1980s and notice that the body of the capper is shorter at the end, allowing the cap to be more exposed and easily inserted onto your excellent nipples for Pietta revolvers. Or any revolver nipple.
