Pretty Slick Setup For Moving Heavy Objects.
OK, keep in mind grandma and grandpa aren't going to be packing a new refrigerator into the kitchen after hitting a sale at their local Home Depot! Yes they allow two people to move some pretty heavy items, but ponder for a moment how stove up you might get after hoisting 4-500 pounds worth of "Whatever" to "Wherever" in your home! If you're ambitious, of sound mind and in good physical shape, then by all means strap these babies on and go for the gold! We purchased these to move a refrigerator from our kitchen, down two steps and out to our van. This was a father/son move, and dad ain't no spring chicken so there was some moaning, groaning and a few stops before reaching the van. We got the job done, but it felt pretty much like I was backpacking half a refrigerator. There's a slight learning curve when actually lifting and walking, but you figure it out pretty quickly knowing you still have to maneuver around a few things and then get out the front door and down the steps. We had to stop and adjust the straps to get down the steps because the lift is somewhat higher and you're paying more attention to keeping your balance while navigating each step. Following a brief rest and final readjustment of the straps we made the short hike to the van and loaded it in. When I woke up and saw my wife and son leaning over me in my hospital bed sobbing uncontrollably, I knew something went horribly wrong...KIDDING!!! The straps work as advertised. You can lift some pretty heavy items and maneuverability is far more flexible than an appliance dolly. Navigating steps can get a little hairy, and I'm not sure I would trust myself to try and carry a refrigerator up and especially not down a full flight of stairs. The person on the lower portion of the lift could get seriously injured if the weight shifted uncontrollably or the upper lifter couldn't hold their portion of the load. Some basic common sense needs to be implemented when attempting to move any heavy object, whether its on a dolly or utilizing this strap system. The components are all made very well and they are quite wide so stabilizing the load with some help of your hands is intuitive. Manuverability is also very good, so getting in and out of tight places or around other objects is fairly easy. Overall the process is straight forward and you are literally up and moving in a matter of minutes. The only caution I would make is to not make a lift if you have any back, neck or leg issues because all three become the human frame that both lifts and supports whatever weight you're trying to move. This is a pretty slick way to move heavy objects and about the cost of your time and money to rent an appliance dolly for a day with the bonus of owning the kit for any future moving for yourself, friends or family members. I would recommend this item as a great alternative to using dollies for moving heavy items into, out of or around the home.

Don't be alarmed about Amazon's warning of high return rate
These Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps are incredibly effective, safe and worth the money. I have used the Forearm Forklift moving straps and they are not simple to use and take a lot of arm strength. I have a $300 Magliner Aluminum Hand Truck with the additional $80 stair climber kit and it is incredible if you only have one person but that requires considerable strength with heavy loads. With two people, the Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps are faster and less risk of injury to yourself and the furniture than most other methods. People are returning these straps, not because they didn't work; but, because they worked and now they feel they have no more need for them. Buy them. Keep them. You WILL use them again...promise.

These are GREAT!
These shoulder straps were a life saver. And a back saver. Bought specially to move a very large fireplace tv stand that was about 100 lbs. move was sooooo easy!! Straps are durable, thick, adjustable and stable. Good no matter how tall or short your moving partner is! Wished I would have bought a LONG time ago. Will never move anything again without using them! Highly recommended!

Shoulder Dolly tips
My wife and I recently completed three moves in three days (3-bedroom and 4-bedroom houses and a 2-bedroom upstairs apartment). In the past, we hired professional movers at great expense because of the large, heavy items, but we decided to buy the Shoulder Dolly and try moving ourselves. We moved sofas, mattresses, recliners, dressers, bookcases, tables, and appliances. Nothing was dropped or damaged. The Shoulder Dolly worked flawlessly. We were still tired and sore from moving heavy boxes, but we would've been much worse without the Shoulder Dolly. Some things that we learned: - Buy it early and practice lifting with your moving partner. We chose a small but heavy, metal-framed recliner and lifted it off the floor. This was a huge confidence booster and we quickly determined whether we could complete the move ourselves. - Be sure to route the strap properly through the buckle. When you lift, the weight of the item should pull on the bar causing it to clamp tighter against the strap. If your strap is slipping and pulling through, it is not routed properly through the buckle, pulling at the wrong angle (adjust length). - Wear a shirt with a collar. Flip the collar over the shoulder straps to prevent them from cutting into your neck. Otherwise, just make sure that the straps are properly spaced on your shoulders before you lift. - When moving fine furniture, the metal buckles can scratch and dig into the wood finish. If possible, wrap the piece in a moving blanket. If a blanket is not available and there's excess strap, wrap the excess strap around the buckle to act as padding. It would be nice if the buckles were dipped in vinyl or covered in rubber. - When moving items up/down stairs, have the person on the lower end take up more slack to raise the item higher. The person's face will likely be against the item, but it's a small sacrifice for an easier move. The person on the higher end needs to raise the item high enough to clear the top step. You might want to place a moving blanket on the steps in case you need to set the item down and readjust the straps, but be careful not to trip on it. - Place moving blankets at the stair landings in case you need to set the item down, reorient the item, and/or readjust the straps. Get plenty of moving blankets if you have lots of fine furniture. When we had our new appliances delivered, we noticed that the delivery people used the Forearm Forklift and it seemed to work well. It seemed a little quicker to set up because they didn't need to untwist the harnesses and figure out how to put it on. With puffy sofas and odd-shaped recliners, we would choose the Shoulder Dolly again over the Forearm Forklift. There were many times that we had to pivot items to clear doorways and handrails. Our arms and hands were free to guide the items and to hold onto the stair handrails if needed.

These lifting straps have revolutionized the process of transporting heavy objects like furniture, appliances, and other bulky goods due to its ingenious design, user-friendly features, and indisputable efficacy. Everyone getting ready to relocate should have this crucial item, since it not only streamlines the process but also improves safety and teamwork. The Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps' most notable quality is that they can transform even the most inefficient movers into professionals. The straps take advantage of the strength of leverage by transferring the burden of carrying heavy objects from the users' backs to their shoulders and arms. Because to this clever design, objects that would normally take many persons or specialized equipment to lift and carry may be done with ease by a single person. When it comes to safely transporting bulky items, the Shoulder Dolly's straps really shine. Straps won't slip or become unstable while lifting thanks to the harnesses' adjusting features. Increased steadiness reduces the potential for injury, letting users shift heavy loads with assurance. The usefulness of the Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps is unquestionable. The straps allow two movers to carry big goods with more ease and coordination by distributing the weight evenly. The straps promote cooperation and synchronization, allowing for the safe and orderly transport of heavy loads. With such streamlined procedures, relocation becomes much more manageable in terms of both time and energy spent. The Shoulder Dolly's straps can be used to haul anything from heavy boxes to large pieces of furniture. Because of its versatility, you can use the same set of straps for all of your lifting needs during a move. The Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps are well-made, as evidenced by how long they last. The durable straps and harnesses are made to endure the stress of constantly carrying big objects, so you can trust them even after years of use. Finally, the Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps solve the problems of transporting heavy and cumbersome objects. Thanks to their cutting-edge construction, reliable security measures, and time-saving functionality, they have become an indispensable tool for home movers everywhere. These lifting straps streamline the process of transporting big things, improve safety, and foster cooperation among movers. Without a doubt, I offer them my highest possible rating of five stars for their excellent work and the significant role they played in making my move easy.

Once you figure it out, works great.
So very helpful once you figure out how to wear the harness. We we able to easily left and safely carry a wide variety of furniture including a very heavy and wobbly mattress, an awkward chest of drawers, etc. Much easier to move things and making it easier to control saves wall dings as well.

Works so far, but needs improvement and better instructions
We were able to use this product successfully to move a heavy TV set. When we first got the TV, we moved it "by hand" and one of us got a bad muscle strain when the TV started slipping out of our grasp. This time, with the Shoulder Dolly, we were able to move it across a room, out a door, down four steps, and set it on the ground, without much trouble. Sounds great, right? The problem is, the main carrying strap -- the big 5" wide one that passes underneath the big object -- was too long. To perform our move, we had to fold that strap over and pass it through one of the two harnesses at double thickness. It worked, but it is NOT described in the manual. Instead, the manual suggests that you contact the company to BUY MORE STRAPS of differing lengths if you face the situation we did. Gee, that's helpful advice to get when you open the package ready to perform a move. And where in this product listing does it mention the need for extra straps? Nowhere. The strap included in this "Light Duty" kit is 12 feet long. If you follow the directions, you'll feed that strap once through each shoulder harness, and it will be gripped in place. And it does work like that. But any excess will just hang down toward the ground. If you and your partner only need six feet of strap to pick up an object at an appropriate height, you will have three feet at each end dangling down. Who needs a big cloth strap around one's legs and feet, risking a trip? By the way, I don't think you should worry about the size of this thing unless you're really small or really huge. Our lifting team is average in size, and the harnesses on us looked pretty much like they do in the photos here (and in the manual). The manual spends a huge amount of time explaining how to put the harness on your body -- which is pretty much a no-brainer -- but not much time explaining how to position your feet, or how best to raise and lower an item vertically. So the good news is that the "Shoulder Dolly" will indeed help to move a heavy object while not putting a lot of strain on wrists, elbows and arms. Also, IF you plan ahead with the precise length of the strap, and the height off the ground to which an object has to move (and where it starts), you can move it vertically without much trouble, too. But it's not self-explanatory, and it takes a lot of thinking to get something that starts out 30" off the ground, carry it laterally, then deposit it directly on the ground. The instructions seem to think that all your moving will be picking objects up from the ground and putting them back down at the same height. Also Note: the Product Description here says "Heavy lifting capacity: Up to 400 lbs." and "Helps you lift objects that you cannot lift comfortably on your own." Well, the "400 pounds" refers the weight rating of the fabric strapping! It does not give YOU a 400 pound "lifting capacity!" Right in the manual it says that the product does NOT increase your own inherent lifting ability. So don't expect to lift 400 pound objects if you can't bear that much weight on your back, or by any other form of lifting. The TV we carried weighed way less than that. So we knew we could lift it -- we just knew that it would be bulky and awkward because of its size and shape. That's what this thing is good for. If you keep that in mind, you can make a better decision about the purchase. It does not give you any more strength, and it does not provide any means for balancing the object being moved. You do have to use your hands for that. PRO: I'm glad we got it, since we accomplished our immediate goal, and we might be able to use the Shoulder Dolly for other tasks in the future. The product seems well made, it does have safety tags and warnings in the manual, so the manufacturer does seem safety-conscious. CONS: We had to ignore the instructions in order to use the product, which I hate doing, and I did not like the sneaky marketing of accessory products (like different length straps). My lifting partner was bothered by the lack of padding in the harness straps. I didn't notice it in this one-time move, but in a bigger move with more trips, I might. They could include pads without having to bump the price, seems to me.

Ni behöver den om ni ska flytta.
Om ni flyttar köp den. Funkar klockrent. Det krävs lite inlärning men det är sjuk enkelt att flytta hyfsat tunga saker utan problem.
