## Description

Four Seasons 20922 System Mounted Cycling Pressure Switch

Review: Fit the low side of a 2005 Jeep Wrangler LJ - You’ll have to do some troubleshooting on why your ac isn’t blowing cold. Here’s how I trouble shot mine. First start the car and turn the ac on full blast (and I’m assuming the fan is running in the car just blowing warm air) open the hood and look at the ac pulley on the compressor if it’s not spinning you’re either low on Freon, ac relay is bad, pressure switch is bad, or your compressor is bad. First open the fuse box under the hood and remove the ac relay and swap it with the starter relay they’re typically the same. If that doesn’t fix it then take a jumper and short out pins 87 and 30. If you hear a click and see the compressor pulley engage/spin your relay is good and so is your compressor. While jumpered (don’t leave it jumpered no more than a min or two) feel if the air is cold inside the car, if it’s cold you’re good on Freon, if not you’re low and need a charge with a can from Oreileys. I had two issues low on Freon which I found out leaked out because the schrader valve stem seal on the high side was bad it was leaking once I removed the plastic cap (simple fix you just need the tool and a new valve stem). Well after I replaced the valve stem I charged the system with Freon, you do this on the low side watch some YouTube videos it’s pretty simple just be patient and know your system capacity (if you empty all of the Freon out of the system it makes filling easy since a full can is the required amount hint hint). Well after I charged it the compressor still wouldn’t kick on by itself, so I jumpered pins 87 and 30 again and the ac was blowing freezing cold! So my next step was to remove the pressure switch connectors (one at a time there’s a high and low pressure switch) and I shorted them out with a paper clip and sure enough the compressor clicked on when I jumpered the low side and was blowing cold. So I bought this part and had the old one off and this one on in 5 mins and it’s working great! Hopefully this write up helps someone with their ac and can avoid a big mechanic bill. This all cost me under $100 which included a new blower assembly fan (mine had lots of debris in it and stunk so I replaced it), so try it yourself you’ll be surprised how simple it is.
Review: Very Cool! - By that I mean this cycling switch instantly fixed the air conditioner on my Jeep Wrangler which had been literally on and off for years. I just unscrewed the old switch, and screwed the new one on - perfect fit and couldn't be easier. My old switch was intermittent and fooled me for a long time. It would work fine for a few months then act like I was out of coolant. After my mechanic would top it off it would be cool again until the pressure dropped just enough to click the switch off. Finally my AC is working again!
