The good: cooks a perfect pot of rice, no sticking, no mess, no fuss, just a perfect pot of rice. Could not be easier or faster (it cooks super fast). The online manual also provides recipes and directions for many other grains, soups, etc. The bad: it does not make 6 cups (US), it makes 4.5 cups (US) max. The included measuring cup and all recipe measurements use an international cup which is 3/4 cups US. So let's do the math: 6 x 3/4 = 4.5. The only other gripe I have is the instructions tell you to fill to the line inside the small pot, but those lines are very hard to see. Best to follow the directions using weight or the included measuring cup. Finally, be careful around the small pot, it gets very hot, I burned myself not being careful. I would certainly buy it again, especially given the $21 price at the time (I noticed it is now $37). So easy, so perfect.

I've owned this exact rice cooker for several years and have absolutely loved it. I use it several times a week, and it has always worked beautifully. Unfortunately, I recently dropped mine and broke it, so I was thrilled to find the exact same model still available on Amazon! There are certainly fancier rice cookers out there with lots of extra features, but honestly, I don't need any of that. This one is affordable, well made and incredibly simple to use. You literally add your rice and water, flip the switch and about 20 minutes later you have perfectly cooked rice. I've also experimented with different recipes over the years. I've made coconut rice and added things like scallions and spices directly into the cooker, and everything has turned out great. For something I use so frequently, this little rice cooker has been one of my favorite kitchen appliances. It's reliable, easy to use and does exactly what it's supposed to do without a bunch of unnecessary features. I'm so happy I was able to replace my old one with the exact same model, and I'm looking forward to getting many more years of use out of it!

Perfect for a single person and makes just the right amount for 1 or 2 people. Easy to use, and with the auto off (warm) feature, just set it and forget it. Takes about 20 minutes to make 2 cups of cooked rice. I have had my old AROMA rice cooker for over 20 yrs with no problems. The bowl was starting to show some wear, so it was just time to replace it.

Being half-Japanese, I am admittedly a bit snooty about rice cookers, but I will write the first part of the review from a non-Asian perspective. :) This rice cooker is a great appliance for college students or those just starting out in their own. It is a budget rice cooker and the low price is enticing for those moving out on their own. You add washed rice, add water to the appropriate line, and then turn on the rice cooker, and you have nice steaming rice. Simple to use, easy to clean. Now from the snobby, half-Japanese perspective - it is flimsy, not solid. It feels like it could break easily. The removable rice pan doesn't sit evenly sometimes until you place the lid on it. After cooking and letting it sit there for a while on the "warm" setting, the rice does get a little crunchy on the bottom. If you are used to a Zojirushi, do not- I repeat, do not buy this. :) All in all, it's a great starter rice cooker. It's perfect for a family of 1 or 2 and it does the job fine (just don't let it sit under the "warm" setting for longer than 1-2 hours unless you like a little crunch!).

I am loving this rice cooker. I don't have to worry about the pot on the stove burning my rice anymore. I've only used this for white and brown rice so haven't tried anything else but I have been so pleased with the rice results. It does spit a little so I just place a small dish towel under it to catch any water. It's a cute little thing and so easy to use and clean.

A revelation and for me a revolution in making perfect rice. Simplicity itself. Set and forget. Great price. Treat with respect, keep clean and don't drop it.

It uses the american plug but getting an adapter isn't enough since it says it can only use a certain voltage. Voltage adapters break down easily from my mum's research and also have constant problems with overheating, so just not worth it in the UK

Fonctionne bien et simple d’utilisation

This made my life SO MUCH easier. I can just start the rice for dinner and not have to watch a pot boil for 20 minutes, amazing! It cooks a cup of rice in about 20-25 minutes and it's incredibly easy to clean. I have been making beef stock rice with veggies in it and it comes out perfect and moist every single time. EDIT : I've had this cooker since september 2025. I use it everyday and it still works perfectly! The bottom is scratched yes ( my fault since I use metal spoons to scoop out rice) but it cooks rice just the same! I even started cooking my rice in beef broth and adding some frozen veggies (like peas) in it with garlic and onion powder for taste, and it's delicious!
