The contractors in my area have a very laissez-faire attitude toward utility theft. After receiving a ridiculously high water bill, I knew I needed to lock up my outdoor water faucets. But, as pictured, my old-fashioned spigots had oval handles. This gate valve lockout was the only one that would fit them, but it works perfectly. I just peeled off the unneeded warning stickers. Doesn't come with a padlock; you'll need to buy those separately. But totally worth it if you have a hard-to-fit faucet handle.

This plastic gate valve is ok for basic lockout. Only about an inch deep so it won't fit some spigots.

Used to "lock" irrigation water valve. Accidental changing of pressure blows the irrigation hose. This alleviates the accidental changes. We use zip-ties instead of a lock.

This does the job. Overlap in the two pieces means that it cant be popped off. However, it sticks, so opening and closing is difficult. Had to grease it up to get it to work, but it still sticks.

This fits pvc valves great. Needed a larger valve cover than the normal hose bib shut off. Won’t deter someone with cutting tools but prevents unintended use with without knowledge

Used on RV to stop potential use at an auxiliary external output. Would preferred a metal one but works fine as deterrent.
