Supernatural: The Complete Tenth Season (Blu-ray)

This is one of my all time favorite shows and I have loved it thru all of its ups and downs. A show cannot go on for 10 seasons an always be great. This season has been the best since season 5 though, which in my opinion was the best they ever did. Year 10 was not about an epic battle between the brothers and a big bad, but all about brothers and their own demons. That's not to say they are not up against it like always, they are and some of the new enemy's have made for great episodes. But know all of that is complicated by Dean and the mark of Cain. The mark effects everything that they do this year, everyone in their life and makes it all so much more complicated because it not just about killing monsters and saving people, but about trying to save Deans soul and not just his life from the world's oldest curse. All season you see Dean battle against becoming the very thing he fights against, and his slow realization that he might not win. Jensen Ackles did a great job of portraying this, and this season is his finest performance to date. This season has not just been about Sam and Dean though. Castiel, Crowley, and Charlie (the amazing Felicia Day and my favorite female on this show since Ellen) all get sucked in and have their lives changed this year. The acting by the entire cast has gone above and beyond and shown the fans that their loyalty to this show is valid. I love the new character of Rowena. Her history and back story once revealed were shocking, and with the way the season ended I have a feeling she will play a big part in the next season. She is my favorite new villain since leviathan Dick Roman. Season 11 is already slated and I can't wait to watch more of my favorite show and its great cast, and to laugh and cry, and be shocked by how somethings turn out. And based on how the season ended, S11 is going to be big. I will absolutely by the season pass again LIVE LONG SUPERNATURAL

I love this series. If you haven't seen it, you really need to start with Season 1 and work your way through. The show is now in its 11th year for a reason....it's GREAT! Sam and Dean Winchester are brothers, traveling the country and fighting demons. The series began with Dean as a young boy and Sam as a baby, when their mother was whisked away by a demon. Dad went demon hunting, Dean looked out for Sam, and the show began. The boys grew up and followed in Dad's footsteps. Even into the 11th year, there are still plenty of demons to fight and enough variety to keep it all interesting. In Season 10, especially with the awesome blu ray clarity, Dean and Sam, along with Angel Castiel, continue to fight demons, while searching for a cure for Dean's Mark of Cain. Season 10 continues with the same quality as before. Crawley, Mama Witch Rowena, Metatron, and many others travel in and out of episodes. 23 episodes on 4 CDs provide many hours of scary entertainment, even a confrontation with Cain himself. The Winchester boys have also developed their own distinctive personalities. Whether you believe in demons or not, this series is well done in a believable way in that the characters have emotions and display lots of "human qualities". Special features include: 3 episode commentaries, a memory share from seasons 1 - 9, a preview of season 10 from 2014 Comic-Con, behind the scenes for the 200th episode, (200 EPISODES and counting!), a piece on the Mark and the Blade (a special killing blade goes with the Mark), a piece on Supernatural fans, unaired scenes, and a gag reel.

I binge watched the entire series thru 10. I got interested in it because it seems to accurately reflect the times we live in. It's a massively messed up world we are living in. I've seen the horrors that people do on the news & I say "now I've seen the worst" only to be so wrong later. For all that happens in Supernatural one would be wise to binge watch it but even though I just finished I find I'd like to go back & watch it again. But as the last few minutes of season 10 unfolded I was crying. I don't know how if this was real life anyone could experience what all these characters have & stay sane. Dean & Sam are doing their best to help people, yes. But nobody else is acting or reacting as Dean & Sam believed they would that would result in everything going the way they wanted. Resulting in just as much of a negative impact as a positive. The cw doesn't come in very well so I haven't seen Season 11. But it was a wild ride. Some very imaginative writing. Outstanding acting! I only hope for those who are loyal to the show, I hope they end it when everyone feels it has run its course. I'd love to see Sam & Dean park in a beautiful spot. Deep sigh. Pop the tap begin to drink & reflect on their lives both wishes they could go back in time and none of it happens and they are granted that wish.

I have been watching since the first season; I've watched them while living in five different states, living in Korea, Germany and when I missed a season I ordered it to watch them in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. Hanging out with Sam and Dean is a great time all round and I feel like it's not just a show but that I could actually walk into a bar in some out of the way place, and see them there and I wouldn't even think twice a I pass Sam while he's picking up some beers and walk by Dean as he sits at a table eating a gressy burger waiting for Sam to return with the beers or a dinner with them having coffee at a table and Dean is eatting Pie. It's been a 10 year love and anger relationship as I was so pissed when Bobby died, thought how could they do that TO ME but I stuck with them, especilly happy with some bobby "bring backs" and then they killed Charlie....really sucky duche move, but I survivied it to go on and pre-order 11. It's like a marriage when sometimes you don't like them but you always love them. Sam, Dean and I are a great marriage, but add Cass who is terrific and Crowley who is fantastic.... it's a true love affair. BUT: Please get ridd of Metaton he is the most horrible pece of filler I have ever seen; he's worse than the Gostfacer's and Trickster put together....just terrible nd the fact he is in season 11 just blows.

Bought for son who loves the series

People assume so much that a show lasting this long makes us instantly enjoy a season no matter what is shown. If you watch Supernatural you may feel like me; that it's amazing a show could come up with so many unexpected predicaments for the Winchesters and their world. I particularly liked season 10 because it brought uncertainty at its best since season 1. In season 1 it was an unexpected episode whether it was about the main plot or about character development. The same could be said about Season 10. Because the characters in this season is the main plot. (Of course (as expected) the season finale leads us to a larger plot to usher in season 11.) Season 10 has also made family a bigger dynamic for some of the characters in the show at their core. The mythology episodes add new fresh ideas and once more you never see a repeat of an episode seen previously. 5 stars at best for all that it entails.

Rarely does a TV series last ten seasons... unless it's THE SIMPSONS. I certainly do NOT own any Simpson's episodes--- other than some of the HALLOWEEN COLLECTIONS. “Supernatural” stays interesting, and new, by adding new, interesting, Dean and Sam foes. Ackles' and Padalecki's charcters keep the show afloat. These handsome guys please the ladies, while the monsters and good-looking women demon-chasers keep we male fans awake. Bonus features on the [4-disc] Blu-ray release include commentaries on three episodes; “Supernatural at 2014 Comic-Con”; unaired scenes; gag reel; a look at the staging of the show’s 200th episode; and, background on the mythological influences in Season 10. A digital HD copy is included with this OR the 6 DVDs version... Go with the Blu-rays... just in case we ever buy a 4K, or 8K TV!

I was stunned when I first saw this show. I've been traveling around the country with my brother hunting ghosts, ghouls and monsters for nearly 11 years now...and on our last stop, we were introduced to the Supernatural series. The interesting part is that in the show, Sam and Dean actually have the same experience, in which they find someone is chronicling their lives for mass production. I'm not sure what to think of this, but it won't deter us from our quest to rid the world of as much supernatural evil as possible before we head on that final road. Although the show is excellent, possibly the best I've ever seen, my personal mark of Cain incident went a little differently. Still, whoever is putting this together...good on you, mate!
