I have now purchased 3 of these speakers over time for myself and as gifts, and each time I do, the packaging gets better, the speaker itself is better, charge ports actually updated to go with current USB-C standards. I love that you can link them together. I DO wish there was clip or attach point on there as I take them outdoors or in work areas constantly where I need space and wished I could clip it up out of way. I definitely put them through the wringer, but they're rugged and have withstood the test of time and elements over many years! I'm not afraid to take it with me when I'm on the water or in rainy conditions. The battery has withstood greatly as well; even the one I bought originally in like 2018 or something like that still holds a good battery life. Great speaker for the cost for sure.

this thing actually sounds really good.. it has two drivers, one for the left and one for the right.. they are about 40 mm each.. the grill is not removable, The speaker grill has such tiny holes that if you get it dirty, you can use some Scotch tape to remove what is stuck in it, most likely.. I listened to the entire album of licensed to Ill right after taking it out of the box and charging it a little, you can use it while it is still charging. now it may not thump like a pair of 12-in kicker solo baric subs hooked up to a 1200 watt digital monoblock amp.. lol but for a small speaker setup, this is definitely the best that I have heard at this size and price point. I'm really glad I picked these up. I'm the type of person that actually notices how the speakers in smartphones have been getting worse and worse... so I run an equalizer most of the time.. every pair of earbuds I have tried require an equalizer to reduce the sub bass and the extreme treble to make them sound halfway normal.. this little triangle box is so good, instead of reducing the sub bass and boosting some higher bass to get a little bit of kick.. this thing actually can reproduce Bass.. I mean not only was I able to leave the bass straight, but I actually boosted all the bass below 250 HZ and I only reduced the very high trebles because of my preference.. with most speaker setups if you want to hear the bass more, you would need to have the bass reflex side facing you, but this little system actually pushes more bass from the front of the drivers than it does from the passive bass reflex set up.. it seems the electronics are all at the end with the buttons.. which makes sense.. it has one large passive bass reflex side that gets driven by both of the drivers, so there probably isn't a divider between the two drivers at all, but I must say, the clarity is extremely good, even at full volume.. and the volume buttons on this control its own attenuator.. meaning that it does not change the volume setting of your device or smartphone.. so you can set the phone at what volume you want with the phone and then with the speaker box, you can also lower the volume on it.. I was playing it with both the phone and volume at full tilt.. but most of the time I would have it it with the volume turned down one press of the button from maximum on both the phone and on the speaker box. I'm actually calling it a speaker box because this thing is worthy. it's just over 5 inches long so it's big enough to really reproduce some bass.. surprisingly, and small enough to be very portable, plus the triangle shape should prove really nice for many applications.. I believe it has a decent sized battery.. I don't believe you can find something better for this price.. and the appearance? well the packaging it came in was way nicer than it needed.. and the appearance of the device, well this thing is very very nice, the end caps seem to be silicone which is awesome and it has very nicely designed foot pads to try to prevent it from moving around.. some reviews said that the base sounded better when the bass reflex side was facing downward but I heavily disagree.. I got the best bass from standing it on one end with the drivers actually facing me. I might actually buy a second one but this thing is nice enough that it doesn't really need it. maybe the sound would be even better with two of them paired together.. but I am very happy with it. I got a black one. I don't remember if it was available in different colors as I was shopping online quite a bit before deciding to try this one, I was assuming that I might return it if I wasn't happy with it but I'm definitely happy with it. it doesn't have the cool retro appearance that some speakers have, and I do love the retro appearance of smooth cones with concave caps that look like subwoofers with no grill in separate boxes.. but this thing sounds awesome and the shape is probably extremely convenient for me. it has some weight and the textures on it feel like top quality, and all of the print with words for information are on the side with the bass reflex which is just perfect.. I have not tried using it for a phone call yet but I see the singular pinhole where the microphone is at one of the corners.. it probably works just fine so long as you don't take a wad of refried beans and shove it into the hole lol.. very soon I will be playing some test tracks with crazy boosted sub bass. 😁😇 I wrote this review using the microphone on it, and I'm not even holding it up. so it does work, that's for sure. I believe the triangle shape, the decent amount of volume inside of the box and the angle of the passive bass reflex panel, combined with the fact that both drivers are acting on it, and that the large mass of the passive diaphragm, all contribute to its ability to reproduce... dare I say it.. sub bass. very cool. if I want to use it out and about, hopefully the battery can last, it's also cool that it has the 3.5 mm auxiliary input jack. I really like this pocket-sized system alot.

If you're looking for an inexpensive Bluetooth speaker, look no further! This thing is surprisingly loud and beats nearly every speaker in this price category. I also own the smaller OontZ Angle Solo that I've had for a few years now and it still works flawlessly but needed a second speaker. Of course, since I was happy with the Solo, I didn't hesitate to purchase it's big brother. The Solo is about 2/3 the size of this speaker and side by side at lower volume, there isn't a lot of difference in sound between the two. If you crank it up however, the Angle 3 really shows off the 12 watts vs the 5 watts the Solo offers. The build quality is excellent. The speaker fits together perfectly and feels solid. It has a metal grill and silicone end caps. The matte finish resists finger prints and nothing rattles or feels cheap and it looks really sharp. The buttons are easy to press but not so easy that you accidentally press one when holding or moving the speaker. The speaker is extremely user-friendly. Its more difficult getting it out of the packaging than it is to set it up. It arrived with a 70% charge so there was no need to do anything except pair it with my phone, which it did on the first try. The speaker is plenty loud and has surprising bass for a speaker this size. Most brands have a tinny hollow sound. Not this guy. Just like the Oontz Angle Solo, it pumps out a good bit of bass. Now, it sounds good out of the box but if your phone or app has an equalizer, it can be improved. Unlike the Oontz Solo, this has silicone on both ends so you have multiple options to stand it up The Solo could stand up on its end but it would vibrate or move around even on lower volume so you really had to leave it on its base. The Solo is so small that it didn't really matter but with a larger speaker, you don't always have the space. This speaker was made to sit flat or stand on either end with no impact on performance. The battery lasts a long time but it also takes a while to charge up. Thankfully you can use it while charging. This is water resistant but the Solo actually has a better IP rating. This speaker can withstand water splashes, even with a direct hit from a nozzle but the Solo can actually withstand being submerged for up to 30 minutes. If you are on the fence about purchasing this speaker, just go for it. There are very few compact Bluetooth speakers that can deliver decent sound (especially bass) at this price and on this point, the Angle 3 definitely delivers. This speaker is well-built, has a good range and great battery life.

Speaker is super loud for its size. A little distortion when at full volume, but sounds better if turned down just one to two clicks so it doesn’t clip. Bought it because of the AUX input. Not much bass, but works excellent when outdoors because of its clarity that spread the sound further away. The charging port is now updated to a USB-C which makes it easier to use with iPhone/Android charger. The Audio Mixer on this video was also purchased in Amazon for $47 (everything budget friendly). Speaker size makes it very portable for on-the-go and outdoor use. Controls are easy to use. Bought it to use it as a monitor while I mix with headphones to record videos for YouTube, TikTok, etc. The JBL speakers obviously produces better sound, but have no AUX-input and do not sound as clear outdoors as the OontZ when used outdoors. The OontZ is just as loud as the JBL, but with less bass. This is an excellent buy is planning to use it how I am.

Oh boy, do I have a story for you! It all started when I was looking for the perfect Bluetooth speaker to take with me on my next camping trip. I wanted something that was portable, durable, and most importantly, had great sound quality. After scouring the internet for hours, I finally stumbled upon the OontZ Upgraded Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker, and boy am I glad I did. Let me start off by saying that this speaker is an absolute powerhouse. With its powerful 10-watt output, I was able to blast my music at full volume and still have it sound crystal clear. And speaking of volume, this thing can get LOUD! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to hear it over the sound of the campfire and the crickets, but boy was I wrong. I actually had to turn it down a few notches because it was so loud! But what really impressed me about this speaker was its wireless range. The box claims it can reach up to 100 feet, and I was skeptical at first, but I decided to put it to the test. I walked a full 100 feet away from the speaker, and not only could I still hear my music perfectly, but I was even able to control the volume and skip tracks from my phone. I mean, come on, how cool is that?! Now, let's talk about the battery life. I was a little worried that the battery wouldn't last through a full weekend of camping, but again, I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to use it all day on Saturday, and even after leaving it on overnight, it still had enough juice to last through most of Sunday. Like any product, this speaker has both good and less than good points. Having just received it, I am limited to immediate experience, although thus far more good than bad: Oontz Angle 3 Speaker (Geez, what a name!) appears well constructed, with good, solid feeling to it; although it isn't at all heavy. It doesn't have any apparition nor feeling of being loosely constructed, with good and tight fitting rubber seals and grommet for power/hard cable connection port. It was a bit difficult to get grommet open for charge the first time, but using some blunt tool removes it easy enough...Make sure you don't use anything like a sharp knife or like edged tool, because the rubber grommet could be accidentally cut easily enough when trying to lift it out initially. That's not a point for complaint, because speaker is supposed to be water proof enough to take in the shower, although user pamphlet expressively warns against full submersion. I as well like the fact the pamphlet is well written, easy to understand in explaining functions and set up, and I am thrilled by the fact it is completely in English; as opposed to multi language documents that are written in several languages at microdot font. It's definitely a high point for me to see the instructions are completely in English, but higher still, designed and engineered in America! It is manufactured in China however (What isn't these days?), and I would have preferred American manufacturing and paid more for it if it was. Bluetooth pairing with my iPhone 7 Plus was simple and easy, and activated the pairing mode was very easy, requiring only the user depress and hold the Bluetooth button, which is lit when in use, for a few seconds until it reacts by fast flash. After that, it's just a matter of selecting it in iPhone settings menu, and it will continue to "look" for the speaker after powering on and off, or turning it on for other sessions. Although it hasn't yet been a problem for me with Oontz speaker, it is sometimes important to reselect chosen device in iPhone if you want another device selection (such as Plantronics headset or other device); although that's iPhone's issue and not Oontz Angle 3 Speaker's. So how does it sound? (Thought you'd never ask!): It's a fairly good, responsive speaker with good resonating effects, deep base response, and good mid and high end response. Bear in mind this is a small, portable speaker running off an internal battery, so if you're wanting several hundred watts to rival Bose speakers, this ain't it! But it's no slouch of a portable speaker either, and it would be absolutely perfect for bedside, hotel, bathroom-shower morning music and like use. It would be perfect for kids' rooms, although no kid is truly happy unless he can annoy parents with high volume, preferably including the neighbors while at it, and this little speaker just isn't made for window-shattering output. It gets a little tricky if your playlists are "eclectic from hell" like mine are! Neal Young and Rolling Stones comes out great using iPhone's "Small Speakers" EQ setting, Temptations does better using "R&B" or "Pop," and I have yet to isolate best for Grateful Dead...But "Rock" comes near (but not quite there) the mark. Junior Walker imposes a problem I have yet to solve...And who can live without? All in, you'll likely find a good setting for one album or genre of music, but you would do well to expect to use more than one if you really like your music like I do. Still, that no buzz killer by me. I like it just as much! Again, if you want to share your music with residents two flights up or around the block, this won't be your answer, but I have a 700 watt Yamaha receiver to accomplish that need anyway. Oontz Angle 3 speaker comes partially charged enough to pair and try right out of the box, although I soon connected it to supplied cable and to a USB charger I already had. Instructions say it can take "5-6 hours to fully charge a low battery," but how "low" it is on delivery is anyone's guess. Good news is you can listen while charging it, and it's recommended to fully charge initially. I note user pamphlet states higher volume level will affect play time, but it says you'll get "up to 12 hours at 2/3 volume." Hands Free function for telephone user however, does present a weak point. Sound of incoming party is reasonably good and nothing to complain about, but the microphone on the Oontz Angle 3 does indeed leave much to be desired! I tried it in a reasonably quiet surrounding without background noise, a little less than two feet away in normal voice that I would use with other hands free telephone devices, using my own voicemail message to gauge sound quality. The result was very tinny, with a very distant reception that gives perception of being very far from the microphone when you're not. Since I don't expect to ever much rely on that function anyway, at most to grab a very important call while in the shower or like setting, that's no deal breaker to me. If you expect to make a lot of hands free telephone use however, you should be aware of that and immediately test it to see if it's something you can rely on. The upside is it automatically went into telephone mode and enabled the microphone without having to switch, and it immediately returned to playing music once call was terminated. Since cell phone issues can be sourced to any number of reasons (connection, device location, etc,), it isn't always evident for where the problem cause is...So test that soon, once you get it! All in, end of the day, and bottom line: This is a great deal! I believe I am getting more than what I would expect for $25 Bluetooth-connected, small portable speaker, and it sounds really good in the entire room, and isn't limited to being sweet-spot in front of it. The base comes most from the bottom of speaker and has easily discernible mid and high range outputs, which is hard to find on small speakers at all, let alone portable AND Bluetooth. It will easily be benefited in smaller space with tiled walls like most bathrooms tend to be, and neither it nor the manufacturers fear a hot shower, provided you don't ask it to scrub your back. It would work very well in a kitchen, bedside or hotel room without causing the front desk to ask you for an much earlier check out...Like now or sooner. It has it's limitations like anything else, but for reasonable volumes and user expectations, it's still a score! There's only one thing I would want that wasn't part of the buying experience: Free shipping from Amazon (Hint, hint!!). I would buy another and I do recommend it! Thumbs up, stars, and a few backflips...And nobody is giving me anything for this review.

This is an email I sent to Cambrige in regards to my concerns about device I am posting it because it is essentially a review ***BEGINNING OF EMAIL*** As you can see from [the order] I ordered both the angle 2 and 3 [OA2 and OA3] . The OA2 i got for my neighbor. I am having an issues with the angle 3 to give background information I am a Dj, and audio producer so I am well versed in the many variables of sound quality . I am getting distortion from the angle 3. I first noticed when compare the sound quality between the OA2 and OA3. The OA2 has a much more accurate [sound] which is also a very warm natural playback while the OA3 an exaggerated top end, its almost as if there is an internal hi freq boost from about 3.1k to 14k. to increase perceived loudness. I have compensated this by lowering the frequency in these bands in a custom eq i set on my phone which greatly improves the accuracy of the playback and lessens the harshness but does not do anything for the distortion. Its almost as there is harmonic distortion being created by the amplifer. I'm presuming its from the amp that is causing the distortion, as I noticed this under all conditions but more so when played louder and/or under certain conditions: 1] female vocals [Eryca Badu Jill Scot] this is very noticeable when comparing to the OA2. the OA2 is warm and smooth while the OA3 has a raspy scratchy distortion over the vocals this is noticeable even when the volume is relatively low. The other time it is very noticeable is A bass guitar playing around 100hz-300hz[including the guitar harmonics its probably about 300hz-900hz [well with in range of this device] These notes creates a very noticeable buzzing overdrive distortion sound when playing from a medium volume and up[The song was Flashing lights by BBNG] this song is the most noticeable because the bass guitar is a solo at the beginning of the track so you can pin point that this is not from any other instrument in the track . Its even more noticeable because on this track the only variable is the volume : if your playing it medium low there relativity no distortion but when playing it medium to medium high the distortion increases rapidly. the distortion is defintily an issue. To rule some out variables all critical testing has been with high quality 320kbps tracks and have been tested on both the OA3 and OA2. . . and this fault only occurs on the OA3 plus for reference I routinely play these same tracks from the same source on my mains which are are set of Professional Mackie C300's which are of studio reference quality . Im kind of torn between the OA2 and OA3, OA2 Pro:s super warm, accurate smooth flat sound response excellent [no eq needed], battery life Cons Not as loud and its bigger OA3 Pro's: small and loud [extra head room for low tracks] Con's Not warm at all, has artificially boosted high end frequency[not a flat accurate response], further all the high end makes it sound very harsh ,plus horrible distortion as the volume gets louder. Of all these these comments I have made here, most of them seem to be by design for a superficial perceived increase in volume except for this distortion which seems to an amplifier issue and/or potentially a driver issue. Im looking forward to doing a youtube review on this item Note when reading through the reviews there other people who report these same faults/issues [distortion/unnatural high end frequency] which makes me wonder is this all units or just certain ones. Especially when comparing it to the older cheaper Oontz angle plus [2]. which is only 22 dollars and has a 15 hour battery life NOTE IF you want to EQ this for better sound , you want drop 3.1khz by-5db 8khz by -3db and 14k by -3db when you do this it sounds almost as warm as the OA2 except it still has the distortion on certain tracks . the Distortion may be a defect so I am awaiting cambridges response ,
