Review: Excellent product - These fans are very impressive. I've had 3 mounted on board our sailboat for at least 6 years and they are still doing great. This one was purchased to add another fan in a forward cabin. They are far superior to the Hella-brand fans of which I have one mounted in an aft cabin. The Bora fans push more air, are much quieter, and better designed than Hella fans. If there is one downside, they are a pain to clean requiring you to take them apart to really get at the blades and inner workings.
Review: Great little fan - Ordered 2 ,I like it ordered 3 more 2 on dining table , two by the bed, & one for little cooking area it gets hot around that area on my cabover , quiet good flow easy to install ,just reverse the your wires cause it says on directions positive , negative , I dint like that at all but did just added 3 amp fuse line wire , so if their is no flow than I reverse wires, but great buy should done that 10 years ago cause dry camping I have no air flow in my camper , oh draws very little amps, bought other model Kona but to to loud that be good for a boat ; so I just went from nearest lamps in camper put t connectors fuse line drill 2 holes easy , don’t think is going to give u ton flow , but for its size is good , not cheap but worth it

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How quiet is this fan supposed to be? of the two of these i've tried, both have pretty loud motor drone. did i get 2 defective ones?**
A: Mine is very quiet

**Q: How well do these handle getting wet? Can this fan be used in full exterior?**
A: I don't believe they are made to get wet at all. They work well but are cheaply constructed. They should be mounted where they won't get bumped as the base is weak. As another user mentioned, the switch is also a weak point. I have 4 of these on a boat. The swivel base has broken on two and was eliminated so the fans cant be turned side to side and the one that gets the most use has a worn out switch. It still works on two out of three speeds. Still, good luck finding another similar sized fan that moves as much air and has all the same features.

**Q: Does Fan swivel to blow in either direction?**
A: Yes it does very good quietest fan ever. have 2 in the bedroom of my motor home love them. Best part wife loves them . I added a variable speed switch and made it even better. can get you part number of it if you want it

**Q: What is the fan diameter?**
A: 6-7 inches....very effective

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good fan but weak plastic mounting bracket
*by G***F on June 1, 2025*

I have the Camframo 12v Bora model in black. I installed this in my converted Ford Transit camper in 2020. I’ve liked this fan. It doesn’t use a lot of energy to run, which is important in a van build. It has good power and at high speed puts out a ton of air although it is somewhat noisy inside the confines of a van. It has held up well except for the mounting bracket. After 5 years, the bracket that screws into whatever mounting surface you’re using (wood cabinets in my case) fractured and broke. I’m trying to find out if I can replace just the mounting bracket because the fan is otherwise in good condition. I think these fans may be better suited to boats (which is what they’re made for) than the type of constant vibration they experience in a motor vehicle. If I can’t get a replacement bracket from Camframo, I’ll probably replace this fan with one that has a more durable metal mounting bracket as this seems a weak point in an otherwise good product.
