Ralix Reinstall DVD For Windows 7 All Versions 32/64 bit. Recover, Restore, Repair Boot Disc, and Install to Factory Default will Fix PC Easy!

I bought this Ralix Reinstall DVD for Windows 7 hoping it would help fix my aging PC and let me reinstall the OS from scratch. The good news is that it did help in a couple of repair scenarios — it got my computer to boot again and gave me access to recovery tools when Windows wouldn’t start. That was helpful.

The ad says "Ralix Reinstall DVD For Windows 7 All Versions 32/64 bit. Recover, Restore, Repair Boot Disc, and Install to Factory Default will Fix PC Easy!" leading you to believe it is a system repair disc but it is not! This is only a boot repair disc and it clearly states once you get it that it is not a system repair disc. "Please note: This disc will not restore your Windows to factory default settings, nor is it a full version of Windows. This is a REPAIR disc to help you fix Windows Boot Problem and *NOT* a disc to reinstall Windows.(our Amazon Listings clearly say that). But I don't agree with that last statement. I saw the top statement in the ad and bought this to restore windows 7 and will have to return it. What a big let down. That's how lots of things have been lately, a broken coffee mug, eye drops that are rancid and smell like urine odor, etc..

This Windows 7 System Recovery Boot Disc by Ralix is exactly what I needed. It worked! Yes it took a little time to figure it out but I could not boot my windows 7 system without it, and I do not know much about computers. My problem initially started with a GRUB error. Tried fixing it but no go. Next step was to get a repair disk and since windows 7 is no longer supported there were no free ones I could find. Found this one at a very reasonable price. Once I installed disk, was able to get prompts to pull up Administrative Command window. Then bootrec /fixmbr was successful but the bootrec /fixboot command said “volume does not contain a recognized file system…” I googled that phrase and voila! Was able to get info to help me through the commands I needed to fix the partitions, BootMgr, and whatever else was there. It is also good to note that the seller provides email address if you need help. I almost did contact but made it through. Thank you for this recovery disk. I was able to reboot, restart, and log in. Goal achieved. I can now retrieve old pictures and videos from that old dell desktop. Thank you 5+ stars! Theresa M

They refunded the money since it didn’t work which is a good thing

I purchased this product in hopes to re-install Windows 7 Home Premium on my Acer laptop. I was very skeptical at first but it did what it claimed, booted my system and installed a fresh copy of Windows on my laptops newly installed hard drive! If you are installing a completely fresh copy, you will need your product code found on the sticker of your system, after about a minute it will continue the installation process. After your first run I would suggest a direct connection by cable to your modem since some drivers specific to your system will not be installed. Therefore you will need to go online and download them from the company of your computer. This product was easy for me to use, all menus are straight forward, a very well done tool one every Windows 7 owner should have in the toolbox! My hat off to the creator and company of this wonderful product!

Doesn’t work whatsoever it would cost me more money to ship it back by driving over to the location, which is over 30 minutes away another item that shouldn’t be on Amazon whatsoever

My hard drive crashed and this program went into loading windows files but after hours there was no fix. It did not work for my issue but may for others. I am trying 'easeUS Data Recovery Wizard' program I have down loaded. Using a SABRENT Internal to external docking station to access failed HD in an attempt to recover lost windows and picture files.

My old laptop with windows 7 displayed the blue screen when starting up. I bought this disk in hopes of repairing/recovering operation of the laptop - it didn’t work. I don’t know if the laptop was too badly damaged or I didn’t use it correctly - that’s why 2 1/2 stars - but it didn’t fix the problem.

Read the reviews, I wish that I had- Buy this at your peril, the description is not what the item will do
