This is very sturdy, so much so that it’s extremely hard to open. My husband used WD-40 to loosen the grip. It worked and looks great.

True to size. I found the spring tension to be appropriately tight, but not too hard to release. I think that's the way it should be. I used these with a bracelet I bought that was a double loop. I used these to make two bracelets.

I wrote a review on similar clasps from a different merchant that was negative. These look exactly like them but these ones work nicely. Comes in a pack of only two compared to the 10 pack at about the same amount but this set performs better than the 10 pack. This set unclassified nicely as it should and so you get your money's worth. Don't buy the 10 pack. Yeah they look the same but they don't unclassified properly. These do and it's worth the money. The quality is better.

Vendor has claimed these are magnetic as I see in other comments. I did not feel any magnetic pull once I was able to get the catch apart. It is a mechanical lock that must be released with a good amount of force on the button sticking up. Very difficult for these arthritic fingers. Certainly NOT SUITABLE for my intended purpose of making a safety lariat for a child's bolo tie as it would be a large choking hazard. My annotations on the picture taken from a different vendor where the discription does not indicate they are magnetic: "Stainless Steel Bayonet Clasps, 2mm 3mm 4mm 6mm 7mm 8mm Hole, PushLock for Leather Cord Bracelet"

So it looks great but... Ok so this thing is very very very hard to come apart the first time its rediculous.. Basically use anything like a pliers sissors etc crush down on the end away from thr connection point and itll finally open.. Now if ur...never gonna take the jewelry off great itll hold.. But the latch is very difficult.. So for ppl taking "whatever this holds" off often it will suck. Especially for necklaces. U need hard hercules fingers with a death grip to unlatch this... I mean wt hell.. Maybe itll train their fingers over the years.. Soon ull grab trees and rip bark off with ur bare hands.
