This carrier is well built and very sturdy but please check your Airline regulations carefully because on the one I use the most it was to big and does not squish down because of its well made construction. I also want to note that this company went above and beyond to make it right for me. Please check your airline in cabin size regulations carefully.This got two stars because while sturdy, well constructed and seemed durable, despite the copy saying it was airline approved, it was not approved by Alaska Airlines because it will not fit under the seat it is to tall and the rigid framework does not allow it to be squished down. I actually took it to the airport for approval before my actual flight because as a frequent traveler I did not think that it would fit under the seat. It would fit in the overhead bin but pets are not allowed up there. Very nice carrier if you will be traveling by car or for taking your cat or dog to the vet but for flying save your money and any upset when you check in for your flight and they will not let you board. While it passed size requirements for carryon it did not meet size requirements for an in cabin pet carrier.
