Hubby needed something to protect his shins while playing in a Senior Softball league. He doesn't umpire but when it comes to pitching & playing short stop he's been hit many times in the shins. He asked that I write a review: 1) Fit is good; easy to adjust straps. 2) Since getting these, he's taken a couple of shin hits & felt nothing. 3) Quality is good, functions as they should. 4) Not bulky or too heavy. 5) Excellent protection and a very good value for the price. He even had a couple of the guys ask about them & then decide to order for themselves!

Lite , comfortable and protects the shins and knees.

Lightweight and reliable. I have been pegged numerous times behind the plate umpiring and have not felt the slightest pain when the ball rockets from the bat to me leg. I was skeptical because they are inexpensive BUT I like them. Recommend ? Yes !!! Spend the big $ on a really good chest protector and mask !

Seems good so far. Came on time, arrived well packaged, clean and in perfect shape. Bit bulkier and heavier than expected, but I didn't read the description, so thats my fault. Don't see any major faults as of now, but will update once ive done a few games in these. Seems to be a great value, high quality shin guard. Well done [edit, post first game] Bulkiness ended up being a bit of an issue. Ended up going a good 6-8 inches above my knee, maybe a third the way up my thigh, too long for my liking, although I am much shorter than average, so your experience will likely be different (i am about 5’4). Also ended up being generally a bit large for my plate pants, could hardly put my pants on or take them on, regardless of weather I put them on before or after I strap these shin guards on. Although, they do provide good protection and are pretty comfortable, my opinion has dropped a bit of these. I would recommend these to any umpires who do not have the ability to buy a better pair, who is taller than me.

They have worked out great. I bought these after having two hard shots hit my shin while pitching. I've been able to adjust them so that I can wear them even when batting & running the bases. Based on reviews I read, and seeing how well they're built, I think they'll protect my knees down to shoe tops quite well.

Great shin guards, fit well, light weight Already have been hit multiple times and haven felt a thing, even got pinballed between shins and ankles and only heard the hit didn't feel a thing, seem to be holding up well. the only thing i would have preferred it that they they would have had the snap clips instead the hook straps.

I got these so my shins don't get banged up when I'm splitting wood (i.e. for fireplace) using a wood-splitter. These shin guards are comfortable and flexible and make kneeling easier on the knees.
