I have had two of these. The unshielded antenna portion (clear) literally falls off without touching , engine on. Why is this happening?

This should not be happening. Spektrum's QA has always been hit or miss. I would definitely return them for either a refund or a replacement.

I got a t-rex 150x dfc set coming and wanting to make sure this is all i should need to fly with my dx6e radio?

maybe not, if it come with the FBL is microbeast then you need a special cable and update the firmware, better option buy the regular DSMX satellite receiver

How to you connect this to the rx2 on a fc6250hx? the supplied cable is 4 strand and the plug doesn't fit the 3 prog rx2 plug on the 6250

The 4 pins on the SRXL2 would need to be put on to the appropriate 3 pin connector. Flite Test has a video on how to do this for their Aurora 5 flight controller. The video is on you tube, just search for "Aura SRXL2 Setup and SRXL2 Telemetry Tuning".

How do you know if it works? No lights come on.

Lights must come on. - blinking . . . before binding. If the plane is upside down, you will not get lights. Level the plane and then red the instructions. Then if nothing happens, its a bad receiver.
