EX FORScan OBD Adapter

My 2020 Mustang has stiff suspension. The adaptive cruise uses a radar sensor that has two ball mounts and a singled lower bolt bracket. One of the ball mounts popped loose pushing the sendsor out of place which disabled adaptive cruise and automatic emergency braking. Quickly diagnosed the issue with the scanner. --- Then applied for a 2 month free extended license (just search "forscan support request" copy in your scanner ID and they'll give you a 2 month trial!) --- - With the extended license I was able to run the Radar Alignment "Service" drove the car above 30mph for 5-10 minutes and the "Radar is not aligned" message disappeared!!! Service successful! and I've driven it a few times and the Adaptive Cruise works perfectly! --- --- This $70 it saved me a trip to a radar servicing center or worse a dealership that would've charged me HUNDREDS on top of costing me time which is precious! --- Compatible with most Ford Vehicles 1996+ (including mazda, lincoln & mercury) Installed the forscan software on a Windows 11 laptop and it worked perfectly. It provided perfect information I needed to resolve my issue. Connected via USB 2.0 just fine and was recognized immediately The software is easy to read and understand.

This works great and connects without issues. One of the best things about it is that it works with pretty much all cars, which makes it really versatile. The only downside is the subscription for some features, but it does come with a free trial period to start, which helps. Overall, solid tool that does what it’s supposed to do. I’d still recommend it.

Genuine article and an absolute must for Ford owners wishing to use FORSCAN for enhanced diagnostics. I was very doubtful about this and the software so I started investigating. After many long sessions on the computer and much discussion with far younger “tuners” than my aged self, I was sold. Best decision I’ve made in a while. Fixed an intermittent fault with the ABS on my old Ranger pickup. Dealers said it was too old to fix. Just scrap it. Also found source of occasional fault in horn and cruise control circuit. If you work on your own Ford product you need this tool and the FORSCAN software.

This adapter has worked flawlessly on both my F-150 Lightning and my Mach-E. It easily paid for itself after the first use by allowing me to troubleshoot issues myself instead of heading to the dealer. Being able to access specific repair procedures is a huge bonus and a real money saver. It’s a 5-star tool for sure, though I do wish they offered a native USB-C cable option to match modern laptops without needing an adapter.

I am a professional automotive technician with 24 years of experience. I specialize in diagnostics. This item works great! I purchased this to use with my Android car stereo to have additional gauges using ForScan. It works well for that. I have never had an issue with battery drain over 4 years of use. The vehicle it's installed in gets used infrequently too, so the battery saver feature definitely works. I love having real time live data on the dash, from all modules. The first unit I ordered never arrived. Amazon took care of that. The one that did arrive worked great. I installed it under my dash with an OBD2 splitter cable, then plugged the USB into the stereo. For the last several months, connection has been spotty. If eventually stopped connecting altogether. I finally pulled it out today to see if this interface or the stereo were the culprit. The power light stays off on the OBDLink, even after disconnecting and reconnecting it. Sadly ot has died, just outside of the generous 3 year warranty. 4 stars for the death right outside of warranty. However, I'm here buying another. 9/15/25 Update This item has been revised since my 2021 purchase. It still works well. The powersaving feature when not in use still works as well. There is 1 caveat to my particular setup though. (ATOTO A6 performance running ForScan.) The first OBDLink wouldpower up and work fine from a sleep state. Occasionally, it would take a couple tries, but would work. This revision makes me disconnect both ends of the device, then reconnect it. Otherwise I can not get it to work and the LED is red. This is not convenient for a setup installed under the dash on a splitter cable. My workaround was to rewire the leg of the splitter cable to have IGN+ on pin 16, rather than B+. Benefits with this setup are that there is no doubt that your battery will not be drained by this unit. It also seems to connect to ForScan more reliably on startup. By using the splitter cable, the OBD port for diagnostic tools to connect to is unaffected by this change. Downside is that this adds an additional later of difficulty to an install like mine. Overall, if you're using this device in a setup like this, then this modification is probably trivial to you. I still recommend the device, and will likely put one in any OBD2 equipped Ford I own.

ODBLink EX Forscan cable works great with Forscan program, easy to install, easy to use. Long cable and quality build adapter. Featuring a High and a Medium CAN bus at the same time, no need to switch. Able to clear the codes, program modules, and add extra features.

Used this OBD2 cable and FORSCAN software to do a transmission TCU relearn procedure on my 2013 Ford Focus SE dual clutch automatic. Although the relearn did not completely solve the shudder-judder shifting issue, it did make it better (less shudder judder) and also I was able to scan the car and found no other issues. I will be buying a programming a new TCM, and then repeating the TCM relearning on the new one. This cable is required along with FORSCAN software for doing this.

Very happy works perfect with FORscan - using on my dad’s 2019 Endura and had very comprehensive array of diagnostics. Originally had a BlueDriver which is just terrible
