4+ years of constant usage! Excellent bladder, very tough and reliable
After 4 years of usage, 200+ fills, 2 replacement helix valves, the main connector on the pack finally broke. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! It took a huge amount of abuse, mostly being sinched up in a backpack often full of sharp tools and pointy rocks. I punctured it twice and was able to repair it by using heat to melt the hole shut and using an inflatable puncture repair kit. Never had any issue with taste or odors, it’s easy to clean and dry. The bladder is a great value for the cost. Will purchase again.

Best bladder there is!
This thing has been awesome! Firstly, they work just fine. No leaks and very durable. I ruck with a 25 lbs weight right next to it and it’s never leaked or broken in about a year. The next and probably the best part is there is no rubber flavor to it at all right from the beginning. I’ve also left water sitting in there for about a month and it tasted just fine ( gross I know). It’s also easy to clean. Overall, it’s the best bladder out there in my opinion and you should just buy it cuz you won’t regret it at all.

Good water pack, however the valve needs a lock
You can feel the thickness and quality of the plastic. There is no bad taste or odor, even on first use (though you should still clean it first). The hose is good quality, not super long, and protected by a mesh sleeve. The valve is interesting, you twist and pull to open it, but you can't lock it open. You have to hold it open with your teeth, and the suction pulls the valve shut. Kind of irritating, and makes it more difficult to use. The price could also be a bit lower. Still, 9/10 would recommend.

Better than other hydration systems I've used.
This hydration water system is durable and does the job. Unlike other competitors' hydration hoses, Source Tactical's secured hydration hose is not excessively long, nor does it flop around. Additionally, the entire length of the hose is insulated by the "Cool Weave" cover, while the competition's hoses are not and is made of neoprene. My experience with the neoprene hose cover is that it does not keep the water in the hose cool on hot days. Source Tactical's Widepac Low Profile bladder has no water cap to screw on, and the tethered bladder clamp easily slides off the top of the bladder to reveal a wide opening to fill with water and ice cubes, if preferred. Also, one can also detach the hose and the bladder will not leak. As an aside, I learned about this particular hydration system from a former Special Forces NCO and I'm glad I made the switch.

Great bladder, don't swing it quickly.
All the other review comments are spot on. It's tough, easy to use and easy to clean with a bottle brush. Two things of note in my experience: 1) the bit of the tube that touches the exit port at the top of the bag rubs on the velcro. I wrapped that section in duct tape. 2) the bladder slides from the clip out when I swing it quickly putting my Rucker 4.0 on.

Best hydration bladder solution found so far.
This is well built, it can easily be taken apart for cleaning (and normally you'll only need to clean the drinking valve) and its low profile means you can dump it on many a backpack's laptop pocket without problem (if it'll take laptops bigger than 15" it should work). I've also have noticed zero plastic flavoring in the water which means I can fill it up, leave it in the fridge for a few hours, and it'll keep cool for quite a few hours within the confines of a padded laptop backpack pocket. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a hydration solution for longer hikes.

Perfect for 5.11 RUSH (or similar) Backpacks
This is Source's WLPS (Wide Low Profile System) hydration reservoir. After much research I found the perfect reservoir for my 5.11 RUSH backpacks. This reservoir fits all the RUSH backpacks including the RUSH 12. The Velcro loop in the top of the RUSH bags fits through the slot of the reservoir closure clip to secure it to the backpack. The QD (quick disconnect) design allows you to easily disconnect the hose and route it through the backpack and then plug it into the reservoir without any water spillage. Another advantage when using with these types of backpacks is this model does not come with a large bulky fill cap. The reservoir has a partial divider inside to prevent the reservoir from "ballooning" out. But probably the best advantage is you can fill this reservoir without removing it from the backpack by purchasing the optional UTA adapter. The quality and design are excellent. These are amazing!!! Just the perfect size for a day hike or even just to drink from at work, lol. It seems to be really durable. We bought the nozzle addition so we can easily refill w/ a hose or water bottle w/ out removing our packs, .. So perfect! We refilled once directly from a spring and the water stayed super cold for the entire day. I just love it! Water bottles are now a thing of our past. :)

El tubo parece un poquito menos grueso que en versiones anteriores, pero por lo demás ninguna pega. El tiempo dirá.

Source is in my opinion the best hydration bladder system. With the wide opening its easy to clean and to push the last air out after filling. The source quick connectors are easy to maintain and the bladder and hose stay clean for a long time. The bladder has a baffle to keep the form stable and avoid sloshing. I like the "Helix" bite valve better than the "Storm" one, but its easy to change.
