I picked up Finish Line Premium Bicycle Grease to service hubs, bearings, and other moving parts on my bikes, and it’s been excellent. The consistency is smooth but thick enough to stay put in high-pressure areas without washing out easily, which gives confidence that parts stay protected over many rides. It goes on cleanly, spreads evenly, and seems to hold up well even in wet conditions — I’ve noticed less squeaking and smoother rotations in hubs and pedals since applying it. The grease also doesn’t feel overly sticky or gummy, which makes cleanup and re-application easier when it’s time for routine maintenance. Overall, this is a high-quality bicycle grease that’s easy to work with and provides dependable lubrication and protection for a range of components.

When one of my stationary bike’s pedal got turned inwards, I took it off (not easy) but darn thing wouldn’t go back in correctly—kept getting stuck. I watched diff videos on how to fix. One recommended this grease tube. Price wasn’t too bad for amount in tube especially compared to getting a replacement piece. Do wish they had a smaller size. Cleaned pedals placement area. Got the bike’s wrench, applied this grease, and put pedal back on. Voila! Worked great, bike is usable again.

I'll begin by saying that I though this grease was excellent. I've used it in several skate and bike bearings and it seems to do it's job admirably (though it's quite hard to compare effectively to cheaper alternatives). Since I can't effectively compare it's function (meaning all the options are reasonable) I'll talk about it's usability, other than to say it seems to work well. First of all it is very sticky. This is a double edged sword. This means that handling it is tricky but it also means that one can more readily ensure a certain surface is fully coated with a thin layer. This is in contrast to packing then spinning to push out excess of placing several "blobs" and relying on motion of the part to gradually spread the grease. Secondly it has an extremely smooth texture. This means that, if you apply it suitably thinly, there is very little in the way of "break in period". This means that if well applied your bearings will be rolling optimally in short order. Thirdly comes resistance to dirt. Despite the sticky surface (which does attract dust) it doesn't seem any worse than any other grease I've tried in unfavourable conditions. That means that any dirt that reaches the lubricated surfaces will eventually cause problems but some such dirt touching lubricant away from the surface should not be problematic. Forth comes the container. This is the only real problem here. I purchased this grease along with the Finish Line Grease Injection Gun and initially this worked great. It allowed for delicate application and reduced the mess caused by the sticky texture. The problem I had, however, was after a few uses the neck of the contained snapped and I was left with a tube without a screw thread (that could no longer take a cap or grease gun). It's hard to say whether this is the fault of the gun or the tube but in either case it is frustrating. Overall this grease met my needs and, barring the problem when used with the grease gun, it seems to work well.

Needs to be in every owners kit. Simple as that.

Some bike freehubs can make a loud, annoying ratcheting sound. There are other products available to quiet this noise, but most are either insufficient, or are too "sticky" and need to be mixed with a thinner grease. Finish Line Premium Bicycle Grease is perfect just as it is. Fill the freehub to near full. Initially, you won't hear any sound coming from the freehub, but after a few miles it will settle in to a very soft, pleasant ratcheting sound.

Normally, Phil Wood grease is my go-to, but new formulations have caught my eye and this is one of them… recommend.

C'est exactement la graisse qu'il faut pour entretenir les roulements d'un vélo de route ou d'un VTT. Pour les roulements de direction, les roulements de roues et les roulements de pédalier. Graisse hydrofuge et blanche... quand elle n'est plus blanche c'est que c'est le moment de nettoyer le roulement et de le regraisser.
