Update: First off, the support we received since posting our initial review has been phenomenal. I wish every amazon seller was as courteous and thorough as these guys. Our updated EY-009P device seamlessly integrated into our POS system, just like the original unit we bought. We charged it up, paired it via Bluetooth, and were able to start scanning immediately. With the expanded capabilities, in particular the ability to read QR codes, we've been able to improve our first-time-scan accuracy considerably, which saves time and negates the need for embarrassing apologies that "the system can be tricky" when performing transactions. This is a perfect, pocket-sized scanner that can work in any application that I can think of. I believe anyone that purchases one of these upgraded units will be challenged to find any flaws with it or have any reason to complain. If you need a small scanner for your business, project, or enterprise, give this one a try! We have not had any trouble with this reader working with barcodes that are printed on any of the materials we have tested so far. However, we publish barcodes in emails and in online marketing, and this little reader will not work with any screen device we've tried (android phone, iPhone, tablets of various types (android and iOS). No screen, with or without a screen protector) seems to work. For that reason, we give it just 3 stars. If you need to use this ONLY with printed barcodes, it's been great for us and will probably work fine for you too.

This works like a keyboard. Scans the barcode or QR code and transmits the letters and numbers to the app or program you are using. NO geolocation. Proof that you were at 1313 Mockingbird, when you scanned the code. Reads every barcode I have tried it on, gets the numbers and letters exactly right. Even 15 feet away from my tablet or phone. I use it for inventory and verification for machine barcodes. Translating barcodes and stock numbers to EXCEL, WORD and my cell phone or tablet apps. Has a volume adjustment and light to show you it is working. Does NOT work like a camera scanner, so it won't be exactly like the ones on a phone. No Geolocation or verification. But works great for text translation.

Great product, fast scanning, no connection issues, easy to use, long lasting battery life. The scanning is very accurate and spot on! and I love the color!

very disappointing. there is no way to turn the unit off. it powers off automagically which is fine. the problem is anytime the button is touched it powers up, which means you cannot store it your bag or travel with it. ridiculously frustrating to have it be dead every time it's taken out of storage. a simple on/off switch would make this thing great, otherwise it's a child's toy 99% of the time since the battery is dead every time you need to use it. do not buy this unit. This vendor went above and beyond to get me a variant that is better built with an on/off switch so you can actually have a useful item in your tool kit. Just make sure you get the EY-023L and not whatever this one is!

Best thing I’ve bought in a long time! I have a Mac so I couldn’t use my school book scanners with it (no usb) so I bought this so I can process books at home. I love that it is small, cordless, and lets of beeper settings that are easy to change. It took less than a minute to set up. I loved that it arrived charged so I was able to use right away.

I was upset and gave this item a 1-star review because it quit on me after about a month, and I was ready to buy a new one somewhere else. However, I reached out to the seller, and after going back and forth to show them what was happening, they replaced the item. They were very kind and helpful throughout the process, and I appreciate them making it right.

Scanner worked great for the first two times i used it..Now it just beeps and never connects or emits laser beam. Will not scan any barcodes so cannot even reset it with the barcodes sent with the unit.

Awesome easy to setup an has multiple settings its super portable with an amazing range i worked for an Amazon warehouse as a problem solver an instead of using their bulky scanners this one I clipped right to my vest an made life at work so much easier the scanner was also VERY durable !

I love this scanner. I work for a company that requires to take inventory. I can use this scanner with a tablet and it works as well as any big scanner. saves time and is very easy to use. I have requested to my supervisor that this is a great purchase. works with dongle or bluetooth with no issues and connects which some scanners have trouble with bluetooth. I have not seen any issues with this scanner

This scanner does exactly as advertised. Connected to Bluetooth with ease and I was literally scanning stock in a couple of minutes. Has great connectivity and can be used quite a distance away from pos system. Perfect item for my salon, retail checkout is so speedy and even better that I didn’t have to have large ugly looking scanner on reception!

Excellent customer service. My eyoyo barcode scanner had a problem and I couldn't scan for days. So I decided to contact Eyoyo's customer service. But to my greatest surprise, they immediately got back to me via WhatsApp with directives on how my issue will be addressed. They asked me to do a video capturing the issue and send to them alongside the invoice of the scanner which I did. Guess what, a few days later, they got back to me and the issue couldn't be fixed. Long story short, they sent me a replacement of my broken scanner. They didn't send one but TWO Scanners. I sincerely recommend Eyoyo to anyone who wants to buy the scanner. The customer service is excellent.

I purchased my eyoyo portable scanner in Dec 2022. I got it on recommendation of a coworker and was happy I listened. I was able to connect it to my iPad and my desktop PC. It worked well for a while but unfortunately stopped working. I wrote to Eyoyo and explained my issues and they were extremely responsive and have offered to send me a new scanner despite being out of the warranty period.

I purchased two of these in less than a year. One worked for approximately 8 uses, then never worked again despite being fully charged. I bought a second one because I liked the small size. The second one never worked despite full charge. It was literally broken and useless right out of the box. The manual is also missing information you might need to troubleshoot and customize. Not recommended.
