I got tired of refilling our little 6 gallon chicken waterer and bought these to hook up a 55 gallon supply drum to a drinking pan. This does the job perfectly, and I've got a spare valve if needed. These will easily pay for themselves in time saved.

Received 4 of these valves very quickly. The first one I tried leaked by which which caused an overflow condition. At the time, seemed more of these same story from these type valves since I've tried like 5 different valves very similar. I had started testing @ around 30 psi and had enough seepage to overflow a 2 gallon container in less than 12 hours. Reached out to the seller and Jimmy responded very quickly giving me a few pointers. One of which was to ensure no debris had gotten into the rubber seat of the closing mechanism. Did that, and found no debris. So the next test after reassembling the valve was to up the incoming pressure to around 50 psi, run the valve through it's paces of filling and see if the valve would respond and not allow any seepage. Bingo, so far, the 4 valves are holding without any overflow issues going on 20 hours. Jimmy was a lot of help and offered many times to refund my money. I've bought 10 more of these valves to test each one individually before we put these into service out in the field. Thanks Jimmy!

1st review: The float works well and is easy to install. I have a float in a garden fountain that survived its first season, which included two hard freezes, with no moving water, during the first 8 months of service. Revision: I purchased another float and noticed that it seeps water when in the off position. When I reexamined the float initially purchased, I discovered it also seeps water when it should be off. I tried a third float, and it is also defective. The 4th, I gave it to a neighbor and will need to warn them accordingly. I use the floats in fountains that evaporate water fast enough not to overflow for now—the seepage rate appears to increase over time. For my needs, this is okay and may be for an outdoor water trough or water storage. I seriously recommend against indoor use or use in sensitive water areas.

Oh yeah, finally got the solution, as you see it in the video, works perfectly. It’s very easy to install. Note: as you see in the video, there are many sediment it’s because the water is saltpeter and comes from a well, that worries me as it can quickly affect the device.

Installed the float and after one week it started malfunctioning. I had to check the whole installation and after I had checked everything was OK, I took out the float and opened it. To my surprise the floating device was full of water. See the picture.
