If your starting from scratch given the dimensions there is reallly very little need for a template when it's literally a specified measured square needed opening. This dimensions are made clear ofcourse in the specs and documentation. In my situation I luckily was installing this unit to replace an older one that quit on us so the square cuttout was basically already taken care of. HOWEVER, despite everything I've said so far don't assume as I did not receive that the measurements made on an existing hole are going to be intendical, I had the entire thing nearly set up when, because of this very situation I nearly had to dismantle the entire thing so the sheet metal unit which joins the top outside to the bottom inside was ever so slightly not wide enough. I apologize for the lack of a simple answer here but the sheet metal piece I mentioned will essentially act as your template if u need one. If I can make one suggestion in case you like myself end up happily taking these projects on solo style, it's doable even though a second pair of hands is anight and day life saver when it comes to working on the roof and needing eyes on the inside, the only thing which I underestimated was the fact that this unit may be quite large heavy and best of all awkward. So unless you can get real creative like I managed too, simply getting the unit up onto the roof and potentially tossing an old one can be challenging to say the least, I managed to, with much effort get the unit up in the air over my head like a dead lift but even so,I had it up high enough but I needed my wife on the roof for a second to actually pull it back from above my head and the roof to actually sliding in then forward into the roof. So having someone up there just to guide it forward onto the roof will save u alot of grief and lessen the possibility of a fatal drop **Q: Will this work with a Duo-Therm model 59516331** A: No advert is universal for most but only to their own brand. DT is strict about accessories **Q: do i need a wiring kit for a coleman mach?** A: I got the ADVENT air conditioner as a sat **Q: Will this work with any non ducted ac unit? Such as advent 1500** A: I installed it on my Advent 15K BTU - works great ! Everything matched up perfectly. The knobs to turn unit on and control fan settings, and the temp keep falling off. Must be a design issue.
