You simply get a plastic bucket, fill it with white vinegar, remove the showerhead, and fully submerge it in the vineger for a couple of hours. After that, pull it out, rinse it off, and most all of the deposits will be magically gone. Can it be removed without adversely affecting the design of the shower spray from the spray nozzle?** A: It does have one, like most shower heads these days. It's a green plastic bit under the debris filter. It doesn't come out easily; you have to basically break it apart with tools. I didn't compare the spray after I removed it to the spray before I removed it, but I can say that afterward, the spray is just fine. A nice, gentle shower that still manages to provide enough water. **Q: How does this compare with a rainfall showerhead? Which one covers more area? Which one is more comfortable?** A: My friend has the rainfall style and hates it. To get any spray on you, you need to have it pouring on your head and down your face onto the rest of your body. They look like fun, but for everyday they are just stupid. The Forte is just the right amount of water, not too soft nor too hard, and it looks great.
