It has the 2" comfort layer, the vulcanized rubber air chambers, and is upgrade-able. The pump does have some noise but I have never been awoken or had any issues to speak of. My ONLY complaint would be that I, personally, had a heck of a time zipping the mattress closed, though I imagine it's not supposed to be easy with everything that's packed in there. If you're going to be sleeping on low low low setting, you'll feel a dip in the middle as there is no support beam. Too much sag in the center causing sleepless nights and sore back. Our regular bed at our home, is a sleep number Cali King. We purchased this bed an placed in the Park Home on original box spring. Although it is not as comfortable as our sleep number, it is much better than any foam, or spring based mattress. The main difference compared to the sleep number is this bed does not have a center foam between the air mattresses so you get a bit of movement when the other person rolls over ext. The other difference is the air is not as evenly distributed through Channel like the sleep number. With all that said, it was not as expensive as the sleep number, and works just fine, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone sleeping on a foam, or conventional mattress. I kept setting my number and coming back later to find a different number, so I kept having to change it back. I was finally told you have to lay on the bed to set the number. Once you get up the number may change, but once you lay back down on it it will go back to the number you set it at. I like the bed. It didn't help my sleeping though like some reviews have said. I do like the fact you can adjust the firmness.
