Although the title is somewhat misleading: it's almost impossible to submit a high quality provisional patent from scratch in 24 hours, the book contains very useful information for anyone who does not have in-depth knowledge of the provisional patent. The book is easy to read and understand. It's written in plain English.

Highly Informative - but the 'meat' of this book is quite short
Firstly, I want to state that I think this book is quite informative and well worth the purchase for the inventor trying to put together a PPA. It's written in clear and simple language. I'd buy it again if I had to do things over. But with that said, note that the majority of this book consists of examples and references (from multiple appendices). The actual step-by-step content comprises only 1/3 of the entire book. In other words, the instruction of this book is only about 160 pages (much less if you take out the text from the case studies - my guess is about 90 pages), while the appendices span another 280 pages). I don't think this is deceptive on the part of the author... including an array of sample PPAs can be helpful for a wide audience, it's just that this ratio of content-to-appendix is quite unconventional for a non-academic/technical publication. TLDR: Great book, but most of it is case studies (without followup by the author) and references for further research.

Surprisingly easy to read
I looked at this book's title and thought it seemed like it could be helpful but perhaps too difficult to read. I have been surprised by the book's readability. Being new to patent processes, I'm learning a lot!

You can learn just as much online for free
By the time I read this, I had read all of the free information online and watched a ton of videos supplied by the patent offices website. I knew practically all of the information and more than half of the book is examples of really old provisional patents and their non provisionals. Problem is that they are resized to be small and the majority of the illustrations are not present. It is much easier to search online for more recent examples of non provisional patents. It does not focus on any of the how to’s or reason why you should include claims and ultimately I got less out of it than I expected. Some amusing facts are included. I still didn’t know how to web file after reading this so still had to call the patent office for clarification and exact documentation needed.
