This is a remarkable adaptation of a great manga. Changes some of the story, but gets all the important parts right. Read the manga first for maximum enjoyment---and comprehension.

    wondering why the low stars

First off I'd like to say I'm a huge Takashi Miike fan,  love almost all of his stuff that I have seen,  I'm wondering why the low stars though,  this is a great SERIES,  yes SERIES.  I picked this copy up at at a local brick and mortar store,  came home watched it,  did some research as to why it ended when it did, and found out there was two more volumes out.  Picked those up and things made more sense.  This is an underated and great series.  Its definately a do not miss for all Miike fans.

Bear in mind first that these are the first two episodes of a 6 part TV series, so don't expect anything like closure from this disc by itself.  Unfortunately, Adness aren't planning to release the 2nd disc until the end of August!  Given the complexity and strangeness of the series, I really think all 6 episodes need to be watched together, so I can't really recommend purchasing the disc by itself.
