The volume has three settings and is clear on all of them, and it only takes a very light touch on each picture to set it off. There are three sound levels. You can have a mode that will just do the voices, or a “fun fact”. It’s in English or French. Negatives - some of the animals are made of animated sounds, for example butterfly or moth (you will hear bells), which I appreciate it’s hard to capture but kind of expected it to be original sound rather than animated. My daughter is using it for over 2 years and it’s in brand new condition.
