It's not like a $200 laboratory scale, but it also does not take up too much room. It's good enough for what I need. The biggest selling point to me vs the other ones I already have is that you can power it off USB, I have a couple similar scales that are battery only, and the batteries are dead right when you need to use them a few times a year. I do have some solar USB power packs or just regular USB wall warts that avoids having to deal with batteries when using this. It did come with a pair of fresh batteries though, I just did not install them, will save them for my tv remote.
