It was lovely to live in her shoes for a while through this book. I especially enjoyed hearing about the many shows. I had seen her in growing up. And the joy she brought me. Her writing with its many colloquialisms sounds as if she’s just talking to us. I admire her energy. It’s hard to believe one person could’ve done so much in one life. Review: "Golden Girls" Rose - I ordered a book for each of the "Golden Girls" when I learned that Rue McClanahan passed away. Betty White is the only one left alive of the four ladies. I found it fascinating to learn that "Ma" was actually only one year older than "Dorothy" (her daughter) on the show. I watch this show every night at 10:00pm until I fall asleep. It is a light hearted comedy but, at the same time, there are some "life lessons" in the show. I am now the age that "Dorothy" is supposed to be in the show so I can relate to a lot of the things she says, does, and goes through. In this show "Rose" (Betty White) is a widow whose husband's pension fund is wiped out. She is very scared about being able to continue to afford her rent if she can't find a job that pays decent. It is fascinating to watch the other three ladies help her get through the trying times. Her character is an "air head" who can really be insightful at the same time. These books are really interesting and tell you about the person behind each character. One of my books was canceled so I will continue to look for it.
