In this companion book to Healing Psoriasis, Dr. Pagano provides an invaluable resource to aid millions of patients with psoriasis and eczema, featuring diet and nutrition advice, recipes, and much more. Fifty years ago when Dr. John Pagano started his practice, there was no medical cure for psoriasisโorthodox treatments at best alleviate symptoms. However, Dr. Pagano has achieved remarkable results with psoriasis patients in a completely natural way because he approaches the disease from the โinside outโ as evidenced by these photos. By following the basic principles laid out in this book, this young girl was cleared in 3 months. This woman was healed in 6 months after being afflicted for 42 years! Dr. John Pagano was a chiropractic physician from Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, who for fifty years successfully conducted research on the natural healing of psoriasis and eczema. He is the bestselling author of One Cause, Many Ailments and Healing Psoriasis, which has been translated into Finnish, Japanese, Russian, Italian, and French.

Enlightening, empowering and encouraging.
All of Dr. John Pagano's books are excellent. Have been using them to heal severe Psoriasis and am seeing progressive improvement of a medically pronounced "incurable" condition. The cook book includes the basic treatment info as well as the recipes and menu plans that simplify a change in lifestyle and make it easier to accomplish. And......this dietary plan works for many other auto-immune conditions and other diseases that originate in the gut. Enlightening, empowering and encouraging.

Life saver book
I am so very thankful for this book coming my way. I have psoriasis and this is the best health minded view of this situation. Dr. John Pagnano has followed Edgar Cayce's request to continue researching health issues. This book is so very clearly written and easy to understand and follow. The products are easy to find. If you are tired of trying all the stuff that doesn't work and are willing to change and do some things a little bit differently - this is the book for you. It is not a cake walk but then what is?Please consider reading this book for your own health. Don't see it as just a bunch of hard stuff to do - see it as perhaps a new way to enjoy and live your life. We already are different than others because of our psoriasis so why not be different in a positive uplifting way by doing these things Dr. Pagnano suggests and have our difference now be our radiant health!!!!

Dr. John's Healing Psoriasis Cookbook
Great cookbook to help you get through this life change. It's a lot to say: you need to change everything about the way you eat and drink, in order to get better and here's a list of what you can and cannot have. That can be extremely overwhelming. But Dr. Pagano created this cookbook to give you straight forward ideas. For me, I'm using it to create a weekly meal plan and grocery list. I can take the core recipes and tweak them to fit my needs but still remain on the diet. There is still some level of making it your own, that is required. For instance, some of the recipes have citrus fruit or juice in them and you should know, from reading the book, that if you have inflammatory issues or arthritis you must omit citrus. But, other than a small amount of insight and planning required on the part of the patient, this book is a treasure for those who are busy or don't cook from scratch often.

The greatest work written on this subject
This is a powerful and vital source for guidance on a disease topic where there is little discussion about a cure. Nearly all else I've read speaks "around" the lifestyle issues which must be addressed to resolve psoriasis. Pegano speaks clearly and exactly about the cause and permanent solution for this health issue.

Tons of information, but nothing concrete
This book is dense and full of information, but the more I re-read it the more I realized that this book is full of "try doing this and see if it helps". It is not a concrete action plan for recovery. Because of the range of ideas in the book, it's difficult to know if you're following it correctly.1. The only hard requirement is to eat alkaline foods and to avoid foods on the "do not touch" list. However, there are many other recommendations aside from this. For example, the book recommends starting with a multi-day apple diet combined with aenimas. If you're allergic to apples, you're supposed to skip the apple fast entirely or use a different fruit. If it's possible to skip part of the program, then it's difficult to tell what parts of the program are critical or just theories. Additionally, the book recommends several supplements, teas, ointments, and many different foods. Because of these soft recommendations, it's difficult to plan out your own program (because you will have to plan your own program, the book will not do it for you).2. It would be great if the book detailed more controlled studies instead of "this boy was healed within 3 months." A controlled study or more data would help readers feel more confident in the material provided. What % of people had success, but didn't take Slippery elm root or start the program with Aenimas? If this data existed, it would help sift through the noise.3. Although the book does explain the "why" behind some ideas, many ideas have no explanation. For example, why should certain fruits be eaten alone and not with anything else? Is it because they become acidic instead of alkaline when combined, or is it due to requiring more digestive enzymes? Some explanations are provided, but not for everything.4. How is 80% alkaline and 20% acidic quantified? Is this based on calories or volume? This seems to never be fully explained.5. Why do vegetarians have psoriasis if an alkaline diet is the answer to the healing process? The book doesn't really explain this, but I imagine the explanation would be "they eat foods on the do not touch list." This should really be explored in more detail.

diet change
I recently was diagnosed with a mild case Inverse Psoriasis. Not wanting to use medicine first I searched for a alternative and found this program. I have been following the program now 2 weeks and I am seeing result already. Has taken a while to get all the items together and learning the ins and outs of the diet but... I feel it is doable. I recommend trying a logical alternative before going to our last resort of using drugs to help symptoms. Food is a drug in our bodies and if we tune in and listen to our bodies we possibly could help it heal itself.

the results have been incredible and I feel so much better in general
Takes hard work and dedication but worth it, the results have been incredible and I feel so much better in general, I recommend this book to anyone suffering with psoriasis and once its wored take this book to your doctor who has prescribed all them steroids creams and told and told you there is no cure and tell them they was wrong, if doctors see the results how many lifes could change for the better and live psoriasis free.

Great recipe book packed with psoriasis information
This is an excellent book and recipe book. Iโve had psoriasis for about 15 yeRs and I learned new things about my condition. The recipes are quick and non-faffy. Iโve made most of the soups which are great to take to work. Would highly recommend this book. Psoriasis has settled down and is improving daily.

Great book!
Firstly, you're probably wondering if this works. Yes! I had psoriasis on my forehead, cheeks, a two inch spot on my right elbow and at times spots on my torso. They were deep red and my face had higher, redder spots on a field of red skin. I controlled it with steroidal cream. Now at week seven, my face is just pink, no sloughing skin, no angry red. my elbow, some scaling and pink. A couple of notes, I bought this book and it sat on my shelf after reading. I didn't have the mentality to accept a couple of important things. One, I can't eat what I want and Two, I deserve to be healthy and well. Once I accepted those two things it has been simple to follow the book and get better. Also, the recommendation to stop using my steroidal cream in the book I thought weird. I stopped using it and my face flared up, dark red, raised redder spots, sloughing skin appeared. It was shocking to see how sick I was, but as I adhered to the program, it diminished and seeing this was very, very encouraging. If I was using my elecon cream, I wouldn't have seen that change. In a way working from home during COVID gave me the safety to do that. I've been using Elocon cream for over 20 years and now- I don't. I was treating the symptom not the cause! Can I go back to eating like I did? who knows, I'll introduce one thing at a time for a month or two and see what happens. aka elimination diet style.

A little old but a good book to have.
It has aged a little, you can also find some good recipes online or with the Psoriasis AIP cookbook. But I am still very happy with it, it has tons of recipes you can follow or change a few things up. It has alot of useful information about what to stay away from and what to eat.
