Comfort story
I am completely blown away. This novel is an absolute thriller from start to finish, weaving a narrative so gripping that I couldn’t put it down. From the very first page, I was hooked, captivated by the intricate plot and the relentless suspense that kept me eagerly turning pages. The depth of the mystery and the cleverness of the clues had me on the edge of my seat, but it was the astonishing plot twist at the end that left me utterly speechless. It’s a twist so unexpected and brilliantly executed that it completely redefined my experience of the story. Holly Jackson has crafted a masterpiece in the thriller genre—a book that is not just thrilling but also profoundly engaging, with well-developed characters and a storyline that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page. It’s no wonder this book has garnered so much hype; it truly deserves every bit of acclaim.

One thing turned me off.
It's a spoilt review. Man as a animal lover animals face bad consequences every day. And makes me mad. But unfortunately can't do anything. So let's be honest. When I pay to read a book the last thing I need to read is animal abuse and unnatural death. Overall the book is good. Pippa is a brilliant charector who was dumb enough to let her dog roam freely when she knew that her whole familys life was in danger. Like such a smart gal such dumb stuff. That's why 1 star off. Other than that twists r good. But if poor barney was spared pip would replace miz kya Clark as my fav charector in books. On a serious note tho writer has given a warning too. When life in danger don't let ur beloved specially pets and young ones roam freely. Because desperate people can do desperate things.

Loved it!
I was sceptical about this book as it was "tik tok famous" Book. But I must say I was surprised by the read. Most important of all things was the ending. It was truly heartwarming and it was just the right thing. Really in love with pip, the way she thinks. There is something so humane about her. She feels so real all kuddos to the writing for making it that way. I must say no stones were left unturned by the end. The book made me smile about how there are good and bad people and how many of us are prisoners of situation. Making a decision in the heat of the moment when the evil in us peeks out. There was a small mention of even how people assumed things based on someone's race. Glad they didn't make a big deal out of it and still mentioned. Sometimes (in numerous other books) when they start on about how people of color are treated the story does in another direction. I personally am not a big fan of things like that. And must mention how pip had good friends. In most books people like pip who can be called nerdy are lonewolves and mostly distant from their families with an exception of few. Loved each and every character in the book. It was a wholesome read. Worth it. Kind of guessed names at some point but kept reading for motive.

Cover does not sound good but TRUST ME , THE BOOK IS AWESOME
Awesome book . It's so interesting , that once u start reading it's impossible to stop. You emerge your life into that story , relate and even start thinking about who could be the killer . But the reason I deducted one star is the cover , nobody will buy their kids books with that cover even though the book is really interesting

A clever murder mystery
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 stars A good girl’s guide to murder is a story where we follow Pippa as she starts to investigate the disappearance of Andie and tries to uncover what really happened five years ago. I love the way this book is written. It really gives you insides in Pippa’s thoughts and it feels like you’re really following along a true crime podcast or something similar. Every chapter brought out new truths and questions and you’re presented with theory upon theory that just keeps you on your toes reading. The uncertainty and questions made it a really gripping read! You get misdirected a lot as the reader, which makes the book everything but predictable. As someone who is suspicious of everyone while reading mystery books, I didn’t see the twist at the end coming. It took me completely by surprise, which just made the book better to me. Everytime you think you’ve got it figured out; Jackson throws something your way to prove your theory was wrong. My guess as to who killed Andie just kept changing constantly. The last 60 something pages were just a wild ride where everything came to light. I really like how you get to know Pippa due to her log entries, which are written in the first person. You really follow and see how she thinks and how she comes to certain conclusions. The rest of the chapters are written in third person. The alternation between the written person really makes reading this book more exciting. I really liked the characters in the book. Pippa is a very relatable character who is funny, nerdy, smart and brave. Ravi’s involvement was also a really nice addition and I just love their dynamics. I also liked how the focus was just on trying to solve the case and nothing like romance came in the way of this. Overall, it’s a clever murder mystery with likable characters and some awesome plot twists. I binge read this book in one day and as the book is part of a series, I’m excited to get my hands on Good Girl, Bad Blood.
